Just back from hanging our Smokefree campaign posters downstairs. I got an A for them! I am soooooo elated. Will post them up tomorrow when I have the time.
Ugh, just one more week to go till I’m done with most of my projects. Gotta do a b/w mockup of my magazine for Monday, presentation of my research on Tuesday, presentation of my logo, 3d facade and billboard on Wednesday, produce my new poster assignment on Thursday and hand in all my process books on Friday.. you get the idea. I reckon two or three nights at the lab will do it.
Gmee’s friends from Malaysia are coming down to visit him so he’s got some plans to go around North Island.. I might actually go with them, see how it goes. Vaughan’s been telling me about the really good fishing in Taupo, and about the nightlife there.. so if Gmee goes to Taupo, I’ll definitely be wanting to tag along.
So looking forward to it, and pleasantly surprised at myself for finding a routine here in Wanganui and getting so used to living here by myself. It’s great – such a change from me two months feeling homesick and all and crying my eyes out because I miss home so much.
I know my dad is gonna be stoked when I send him my grade sheet at the end of the term. I miss that old guy a lot even though I don’t see him that much back in KL. We’ve always had an understanding, and he’s the one man in my life that I would hate to let down.
The freelance stuff I did for the gym is now almost done. The logo’s done and they’ve sent it off to get the signage done.. just handed in the yellow pages ad yesterday night, and it’s looking good. Learned how do do colour proofing and separation, too. Never got round to it before, but when in doubt, read the help files!
I hope the my idea for the design camp poster will work out. It’s a huge event here, and if it gets chosen.. don’t wanna think of how much that would make my day.. or month, or year even. I’ve been in a pretty good mood lately, knowing I’m halfway through my semester already and there’s only 3 months to go before I see my parents and all my friends.. it’s never been about the place, I think.. it’s always been the company.
