While I was in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago, Ka Meng and Sheila took me to Auction Rooms in North Melbourne. It is a dinky little cafe/restaurant that has great coffee and desserts.. which was all we had room for after a hefty dinner at The Station Hotel. I enjoyed it immensely – here are some pictures from the night.
Love the old pea tins they used to hold sugar! Melbourne has a lovely coffee culture going on and there are a ton of other really good coffee ‘watering holes’ around. Lynn took me to another one called St Ali that was brilliant, but we didn’t have time to take any pictures because I had a flight to catch.
Most of all I love the giant open window – we managed to convince Ka Meng it was a massive sheet of glass ;) It was a fun evening!
