We had sundowners at the Beresford Hotel one weekend. I absolutely loved the courtyard area with the lanterns; gas heaters made it warm enough to not hide underneath our jackets.
Someone left a MAC compact on the table. After a few hours asking the people around us and no one turning up I thought I’d take it back to trade in for a lipstick (MAC has this great recycling program called Back 2 MAC – link is for US only I think, though I’ve been bringing my empty MAC containers back to their stores for years).. anyway a few days later I opened the compact to clean it out and it was brand new, with the plastic protective sheet still on.. how odd!

We had way too many beers for a quick Sunday arvo drink; unfortunately I was seated next to one of those gas heaters and got drenched by beer.. twice! People kept leaving their drinks on the base of the heater which slanted outward and wasn’t an even surface to begin with.
We also had some shoestring fries to snack on, thankfully, which N very thoughtfully procured from the bar. Me and Jo are obsessed with shoestring fries at the moment and have been ordering it everywhere we go. So far our fave are the Tuscan fries with chili and herbs at Alio in Surry Hills where it comes perfectly seasoned! Yum!
Still having some server issues and manually posting images at the moment – have a backlog I don’t even dare look at. Hope it gets sorted soon. This week has been dragging on a little. We were at Aroma Fest over the weekend where I had about three too many coffees and had a caffeine headache :/
