Apartment hunting

Soludos Espadrilles

The apartment hunt continues! This is one of the five places W and I saw on Saturday morning.. really love this living space but the apartment was too small for the two of us plus cats.. sigh..

W is still getting used to the idea of taking pictures for me.. LOL. Actually I’m not sure if this is quite post-worthy since it was so hot that I just threw on the smallest items in my closet that won’t get me arrested.. but I really really love these shorts! They do cut dangerously high at the back and they are high-waisted and the combination of both would normally scare me away, so I’m surprised I love them so much!

Ikea Tempe

Last Sunday at the preview of the new Ikea Tempe! So lovely of Dr G and Craig to have us come and shop before the official opening this coming Thursday. Craig’s been working hard for the last 7 months or so and it’s nice to see it finally complete. Also, no crowds and no queues. We came home with some bargains (they gave us a discount) and somehow W spent more than I did. I’m just happy I have more space for my shoes! The place is friggin’ HUGE. Something like 2.5km just walking through two floors.

Sydney Architecture Festival

Surry Hills

W and I checked out some bits of the Sydney Architecture Festival that’s going on right now. W and I are both involved in the (video) gaming industry and found the talk on Art, Architecture and Design: Working within Public Spaces at the Sydney College of the Arts pretty fascinating.. especially the bits involving using CryENGINE3 for real-time visualising in architecture.. sorry if this all sounds Greek to you!

Art and About

Last weekend we had a wander around the city to check out a few things – Art and About Laneways art projects, the 3D projection on the QVB dome (also part of Art and About) and a late afternoon stopover at one of my favourite pâtisseries in the city. I’m wearing a top I just got from Robert Rodriguez, a designer I’ve just discovered, which is more gray than black but I really love the cutout detail at the back.
