Last Sunday, W and I walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We checked out the Sunday markets in Kirribilli and I did some thrift shopping and came home with a Josh Goot dress for $4, a brand new chiffon cobalt blue top for $3 and a handmade dress from India that needs a little TLC for Summer. It’s a gorgeous burnt clay brown but a little faded on the corners, so next weekend’s little project will be to redye it. Thrifting is so much fun!

Say hello to.. my lovely man W! This is his first proper appearance on my blog.

For the first time, W and I went to Lakemba for the Haldon Street Fest that was on the weekend. It was like a little adventure for me especially, since I don’t often venture far from where I live and work. There was a huge emphasis on diversity with a lot of people, food and music from different cultures.

W and I took a long walk to McKell Park at the end of Darling Point on Sunday afternoon. It’s a great little spot, especially with the mercury gradually rising. He took some pictures of me and these are my favourites. I’m toying with the idea of buying a Nikon so we can share lenses, but I’ve been a ‘Canon girl’ pretty much all my life! First world problems indeed..
Last night in a random fit of inspiration I decided to move my room around. There’s a little more space now though I managed to put a small dent in the wall – argh. Thinking of moving a shelf or a clothes rack in there soon, I need more storage!

On Friday night we went to Sean’s with W’s guitar and had a little music sesh. On Saturday we went apartment hunting. Later, I went to get a haircut and a perm, but the perm failed! I’ve never heard of a perm failing – the salon has offered to do it again but I’m a bit worried that it’s going to damage my hair perming it twice in a fortnight. But I’m probably going anyway. I need a new style for Spring!
My cousins from Brisbane arrived on Saturday evening. W was DJing which gave me the perfect excuse to catch up with some friends. As a result I spent most of Sunday in recovery mode..
How was your weekend?
