Remember this post about what to wear to a wedding? This is what I ended up wearing to the wedding in Melbourne on the weekend – I’m not much one for prints but I loved the neutral colour and symmetrical design of this dress and kept the rest simple with a minimal coat and black sandals. What do you think about scarf prints?
Tibi dress (also here), ASOS coat, Charles Jourdan sandals.

Back in Sydney after a rather fun few days in Melbourne attending a rather lovely wedding, catching up with old friends and doing a lot of eating. Here we were last Thursday, fresh off the plane at one of my favourite French cafes, Creperie Le Triskel on Hardware Lane, where they serve the best Breton buckwheat galettes (try the La Broceliandre!), Manoir du Kinkiz cider and Orangina in a bottle!

I wasn’t planning to blog this outfit but W stopped to take a picture of the art on his iPhone and I attempted to photobomb him. Strangely the organic shapes coherently echoed the shadow print on my tee so I made him take a proper picture!
BE&D shoes, Topshop pants, Sass & Bide tee, Balenciaga bag, Wanderlust+Co bracelets.

Apologies for the radio silence! I’ve been down with the flu but plenty of stuff to post soon ;)
Came across these paintings by Tokyo-based illustrator Awazu Yasunari and was immediately captivated by his use of expressive and bold brush strokes that are wonderfully offset by finer detailing. I’m also equally fascinated by the conscious omission of detail, a concept that I too as a designer once explored. Some times you just gotta allow the wonderful thing that is the human imagination to work a little!
