Saturday was rather serendipitous – in the morning it was Vic’s Meat Market Day which was perfect timing for Dr G’s for a BBQ later that evening. It was my first time at the Market Day and I love it! Vic’s sell the best quality meat in Sydney I think. I bought so much! Thankfully they have an industrial sized vacuum sealer there, I have some amazing steaks in the freezer for later this week.

Two things that made my weekend:
Good coffee
I went looking at some apartments on the weekend with Jo. We both agreed to meet at 10:30am, but both of us had a huge night on Friday so I woke up at 10:20am and missed my first viewing that was supposed to be at 10am. So I got out of bed and got ready in five minutes and jumped in a cab to wake Jo up and we walked over to the second one on our list – a gorgeous apartment about a block away from his place. It was stunning; art deco, high ceilings, huge living room and was the current residence of a local DJ – there were wall-to-wall records and decks and a few awards lining the shelves. The apartment was right next to Baz Luhrmann’s Sydney residence. It had a lovely charm. Also saw a gorgeous three-storey two bedder with a private rooftop terrace (plus jacuzzi!) I wish I could afford, but it was around the 7-figure range.. bugger!
Pétanque
On Sunday, we headed to the park for a nice lazy BBQ that Jen had organised, drank beer, played soccer and pétanque and lazed in the sun. Wishing that was on a Saturday as I didn’t have any time to soak up the sun proper – Monday feels a little too far away from the next weekend :)
