My smart friend O had a theory about why there are so many May babies. You know how there are more September babies than other months? Count back nine months and you’ll figure out why. Apparently there are just as many May/June babies because these guys get busy with it celebrating their birthdays! But then, there should be just as many March babies, December babies, so on and so forth.. so maybe the theory doesn’t really stand.
Anyway I digress, these past few weeks we have been celebrating many birthdays. One for the wonderful Dr. G:
Feels like yesterday when I met him. We actually have a ton of mutual friends in KL when he used to work there and somehow we just never met until Sydney! Funnily enough.
And the other one for sailorboy (have decided to call A this from now on as he’s just revealed he used to be in the military)
We had an awesome dinner at Tastevin last night with sailorboy and with the amount of food pictures I’ve been taking I think I might as well just concentrate on food blogging since I haven’t been feeling like blogging much these days! Not for the lack of things to write about – I just never feel like my life in Sydney is as interesting as stuff I get up to in KL. Well, not to you anyway. Anyway I was really impressed with the food there. We ordered a ton of starters so I ended up ordering an entree-sized gnocchi for my main and by the time we were done the boys practically had to roll me all the way to the Shift for drinks..
Maybe it’s a sign I’m getting older. Thankfully my next birthday is ages away!
In other news, the Biennale of Sydney is on again and am looking forward to checking some of the stuff on the weekend. Then Vivid Sydney follows – hopefully this will keep me busy during the Winter months. I am not really looking forward to the cold weather :P
On the weekend we had a little get together to celebrate my birthday. If I were to have one wish it would be that Miss T could’ve been there with us :)

Hello hello. Yeah, I know – I’ve been blogging faster than I can keep up with my own posts. Whats with that?!
Today is MJ’s* birthday! Happy 30th hun!!
Going to see MJ and the usual suspects after work for a few drinks. Can’t wait – it’s almost the weekend and we’re going to have a fab dinner on Friday night to celebrate since we’re both working tomorrow and can’t have a big one tonight. I’ve already picked the restaurant and made reservations. They have roasted bone marrow on the menu! Seriously.
Speaking of food, Tiff and Tania will be happy to know I’ve pre-ordered a couple dozen macarons from Adriano Zumbo to take back with me on my upcoming trip to Kuala Lumpur… luckily I won’t have time to go there until the day I leave, so I can’t stuff face in advance :)
Speaking of Kuala Lumpur:
a) Can’t believe my girl E is getting hitched, exciting!
b) Tiffany & Co is so much cheaper there (like 30%?) – I want to get some Frank Gehry pieces
