Sydney Autumn is now properly back on track and this outfit pretty much sums up my looks of late – lashings of black! Despite having plenty of outerwear options I find myself going back to this simply cut jacket with the notch detail. And I’ve been wanting to wear these shoes in a post for a while – apart from my usual staple sneaker/ballet flats combo I very rarely bother with much else, but love the masculinity it lends and am really digging the white contrast sole..

It’s been a while since I did an outfit post. I’m in the middle of organising something at home so I don’t have to resort to random corridors. This sweater is the same one from my last Friday Five post. It was sold out in my size so I sized up.. unfortunately it looks a bit massive on me (considering I’m about 5’8″ in flats). I still really like it though, and wonder if anyone has any tips for shrinking it.. in the dryer? Is that a crazy notion?

I’m not sure what to make of the weather, yesterday was the hottest May day in 70 years yet it was so cold at the start of the week. Anyhow, the knits are out and so much fun to layer! I should post some outfits soon, but things have been a bit crazy and I’ve tried to compensate by updating my Instagram with what I’ve been wearing lately.
Here are a few pieces that caught my eye recently. Apologies if this isn’t quite relevant to my readers across the pond who are lucky enough to not be stuck with the cold! Currently a little more than obsessed with this pale mint Kain number. It just looks so comfortable and the perfect colour to complement the dropping mercury. Love the collar detail, and I think the only thing stopping me is the fact that I also dig this Theyskens’ Theory in a similarly muted mint that borders on being a cool grey.
This past season Alexander Wang knit is perfection. I know because I have one in grey. So is this Sass & Bide one with their signature metal embellishments – love all the little details and wish I could afford it all! :)

Something about the cross strap of this bag is strangely appealing. I haven’t been able to stop obsessing since I saw it last year on the messenger version! So. Much. Love! Especially besotted with the linen exterior – a really nice change up from my arsenal of leather bags :)

Was pretty stoked to find a high street version of this Alexander Wang colorblock pullover, for a fraction of the price. Somewhat fascinated by its semi-deceptive attribute of managing to look like two separates under a sweater or knit. It’s a perfect, fail-safe, back-to-basics layering for Fall!
