This is the result of late night “window” shopping for some dresses. I have a few weddings to attend this year with rather varied locations: from a tropical island to well-manicured gardens, a candle-lit indoor affair and one that is still a mystery to me. So until I find out where the fourth one will be, here are the ones I’ve picked out for myself thus far. Of course having said that, I can’t afford a new dress every wedding at the rate my friends are getting married (!) but it’s nice to see what’s available :) Or maybe I just needed an excuse to buy that gorgeous MSGM geometric print dress!
Beach: Paired with a black-trimmed rafia clutch, statement necklace and sensible footwear..

Outdoor: Just add patent strappy sandals and a similarly shiny box clutch in solid colours and a flower somewhere

Indoor: Hair up, with classic black leather pumps and lots of bling!

What do you think of these dresses?

I love the ease and the simplicity of a shirt dress – especially one like this where getting the wrinkles out means hovering it above the kettle when I make my coffee in the morning. Super simple accessorising means I don’t even have to think, so getting ready for work is ten minute ordeal at worst. I’m looking for the matching hair cuff from H&M that I’ve been seeing around the blogosphere, it’s the high street version of the ones from Dries Van Noten Fall 2011 and are incredibly hard to find! We haven’t got a H&M store in Sydney so if you by random chance know where I can get one please let me know!
PS. Thanks to the lovely girls at Styleflakes and Shoelazzo for the blog awards! The girls from Shoelazzo have just set up their Etsy store featuring their original handmade shoes, please check them out here!

I spent the weekend drooling over images from Pre-Fall 2012 on Style.com. These are the looks I will be drawing inspiration from in the coming months. It is admittedly a little strange being on this side of the hemisphere when it comes to fashion but at least compared to living in South East Asia I actually get to layer up in the colder months :) Here are some of my favourite looks:

Love the comic book references from 3.1 Phillip Lim featuring convertible knits and very wearable looks.

Amazing textures and layers from Alexander Wang; the sheer knits are really beautifully done.

I’ve been having a really lazy couple of days being back at work despite having mad deadlines – I’m finding it hard to get up early again after a few weeks of sleeping in! I wore this outfit a few weeks ago when it was still a bit cold in Sydney. This maxi cardigan was another one of my scores from the Sass & Bide warehouse sale, one of my best purchases ever. I wish I could wear it all the time but it’s too warm – it’s a heavy fine gauge knit and would be the perfect thing to wear when I’m on a plane as it hits around the ankle area and doubles nicely as a blanket. The ruffles are ribbed and is actually a separate piece and can be worn on its own or as a belt; the gray knit is slightly faded on the outside and is darker on the reverse – I love it!
PS – Valentine’s Day is coming up soon and I’ll be doing a post for gift ideas and sexy lingerie for the occasion. In the meantime you can check out the range of lingerie and sex toys from AnnSummers.com by visiting their website.
