Only two more weeks until Christmas and the city is buzzing! W and I wandered into Sydney for some laksa on Hunter St and some shopping. Finally, we had a little bit of sunshine but it’s still a bit too chilly for my liking. This light shirt jacket was a perfect throw-on. I love the fact that has jacket-like qualities with the adjustable waist and pockets but made of beautifully combed cotton that doesn’t wrinkle easily in the lightest drab olive. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing it a lot this Summer, the length of it also makes it a great beach cover-up. The cuff was a gift and I don’t remember where this necklace was from, I’ve had it for ages.. it’s one of my favourites. So close to finishing my Christmas shopping now, I’ve done most of it online and the packages are slowly arriving. I have one more really important one and I hope it gets here in time! It’s always so exciting this time of the year.. I’m especially excited to check out everyone’s Christmas-related posts over the coming weeks :)

Mykonos

Mykonos

Was looking through some pictures from Summer today, mostly wishing I bought a DSLR sooner, but somehow found myself yearning for some unexplainable dose of Greek. Putting on a CD with bouzouki music that Miss M and I picked up for this very reason is probably the worst idea. Ever. I know I may have wildly romantic notions about the place but the rumours are all true – there is a little bit of magic in the Aegean. I have to make my way back there soon.

By the way these pictures are unretouched in any way. Hope you enjoy! x

Santorini

I’d seen so many pictures of Santorini from M’s blog but I didn’t realise they were mostly of Oia.. imagine my surprise when I arrived to high, imposing cliffs on a ferry I thought was big when I left Mykonos but felt quite small sailing into the port.. the smattering of white buildings clinging to the tops looked like snow from below.

Hermitage Foreshore Walk

Some pictures from last weekend’s walk from Neilsen Bay to Milk Beach on the Hermitage Foreshore track. Milk Beach is a tiny beach that looks over back to the city and Shark Island – a great little spot at the back of Strickland House. It was such a lovely day ;)

Next stop, Athens. Totally excited, though much as am looking forward to crossing one more thing off my travel list, I know I’m also looking forward to being back in Sydney with my man..
