I went to Goodgod a few weeks ago and am absolutely enamoured with the drinks list! Anything that has Chevy Chase on it can’t be bad I reckon. The pulled pork nachos from The Dip, the guys that takes care of the food bit at this small club, weren’t bad either. And the dessert was amazing – we had cookies and cream that was served with the bomb of a salted caramel ice cream that was ZOMG so good..
A great little venue in the city at the former La Campana site on Liverpool St, though the music can get a little too loud for conversation. I’ll have to make a trip back soon for the famed burgers and hot dogs..

For the first time, W and I went to Lakemba for the Haldon Street Fest that was on the weekend. It was like a little adventure for me especially, since I don’t often venture far from where I live and work. There was a huge emphasis on diversity with a lot of people, food and music from different cultures.

W and I took a long walk to McKell Park at the end of Darling Point on Sunday afternoon. It’s a great little spot, especially with the mercury gradually rising. He took some pictures of me and these are my favourites. I’m toying with the idea of buying a Nikon so we can share lenses, but I’ve been a ‘Canon girl’ pretty much all my life! First world problems indeed..
Last night in a random fit of inspiration I decided to move my room around. There’s a little more space now though I managed to put a small dent in the wall – argh. Thinking of moving a shelf or a clothes rack in there soon, I need more storage!

Il Baretto Surry Hills has a really good staple spaghetti bolognese which you can’t fault for $14. Their carbonara is made the traditional way – olive oil, eggs, bacon and herbs – but on my order the egg in the sauce had coagulated which made it quite oily toward the end. I tried their signature duck ragu on a different visit and it was nowhere near as epic as it is purported to be, but still good. A solid neighbourhood eatery if you don’t mind the wait at dinnertime.
