Almost forgot, I was watching Acme Hour on Cartoon Network (stop smiling! And you! You there! I see that smirk on your face! *thwap*) and couldn't believe my eyes, I was watching episodes of Chip and Dale from the '80's, lol. It was fantastic, and so cute. I miss my childhood.. waitaminute, what am I talking about? I'm still in my childhood :P

Finished the 1st book out of 7 from the "Chronicles of Narnia". C.S. Lewis is a brilliant writer; I wish I had a talent like that, to be able to write so vividly and so well as to sweep the reader away into a world where anything is possible, may it be talking lions, magical witches, a new world called Narnia... *sigh*. I think I'll get started on Book 2 now..!!

Shao Yi and I got together and bought Shean Min lunch at Pizza Hut as a thank you present for driving us around so much. We walked around Subang Parade and finally ended up at the MPH bookstore (supposedly to buy books for the new term...). Mmhmm, yeah right. I think I wanna shoot myself. Just spent another 90 bucks on books, sigh. Let's add C.S Lewis's 'Chronicles of Narnia' and Kipling's 'Puck of Pook's Hill' (such a cute title!!) to my ever-growing list of books purchased this month. Guess I'll be doing some serious reading these last few weeks..!!
Ah, went for a yumcha session with Azuan, Yih Hau, Xana, Jason, my cousin Steven (bloody small world; I didn't realize he was Jason's friend), Winnie, Szetho and Jan Ee last night. Finally, too *grin* Haven't seen most of these people in months, so it was a nice get-together thing. Winnie wanted to see Joshi, but honestly, I doubt she's gonna buy her (which is good news for me :P). I don't want to sell Joshi. She's bloody naughty, but she's family now.
Oh well, guess I'm off to watch some 'toons and read my books.

Slept at 5 and was up by 10. Off to Megamall with Shao Yi in the hopes that we could find some books for the new term, but no such luck. Dammit, the MPH Bookstore is huge, but they don't even stock up on Marlowe, yegads! What is the world coming to? *sobs* Oh well, to appease myself and to make sure it wasn't a wasted trip, I picked up Milton's 'Paradise Lost' for RM6.50. Yay Penguin Classics!
Walked around with Shao Yi and Shean Min (who joined us somewhere in between) before we went home. I think I'll go watch some 'toons now... *grin*

Ahaha, we have cable tv..!!! Couldn't believe it till Audrey told me this morning. Was supposed to be at Norman's in the afternoon for Shahnon's surprise party, but no one was home, so I had to stay in to see the wiring and stuff installed. I have cable tv! (which means I have *gasp* Cartoon Network 24/7!!!) ahahahaha *roflmao*. Can you tell I'm ecstatic? 'course not *cheeky grin*

10 Simple Facts.
1) I hate being called cute.
2) I'm not an alcoholic, no matter what everyone says :P
3) I am an English major who hates Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'. Well, "hate" is a strong word. I'll stick to "dislikes intensely".
4) I'm a firm believer that you should do unto others as you would them do unto you.
5) I have a very bad temper which I keep under wraps, lots and lots of wraps.
6) My last rant was written in an alcohol-induced haze, so it's a bit out of whack.
7) I think Live's "I Alone" and Vertical Horizon's "Best I Ever Had" kicks ass.
8) I write poetry for fun.
9) I love a good joke and just hanging out with friends.

Yay Penang Island *grin* I dunno. I'm too broke to think right now, bleah.

Almost 4am and I'm still wide awake. I'm already starting to function on Canadian time, lol. Unca Azuan woke me up at 11.30 today *growls* but I went back to sleep soon after, ehehe. Shean Min called around 12.30; he was waiting outside for me to let him in, poor fella. Was supposed to go out for lunch, but it was raining heavily, so we stayed in and had Maggi instead (we also ffk'ed Heng Han *grin*). Watched "Feel 100%" (it's a chinese flick) before Shean Min went off for class, only to come back later with Poh Lin coz class was cancelled. We had an early dinner at Ravi's again with Shao Yi at around 6. Watched Charlie's Angels, listened to my CDs. Was supposed to go out with Audrey and Mei Mei, but they pulled out on me at the last minute, so I was pretty disappointed.
Heng Han's leaving at 5am for Melbourne, I'm gonna miss that crazy fella. Have a safe flight Han *hug*

3 days and 2 nights in Penang with my family--definately one of the best holidays ever. All we did was eat and eat and eat, yikes! My parents were very happy and relaxed though, which makes the whole trip worthwhile. Only thing which marred it was some chick in Coffee Bean who served us. Being rude to my sister and I was one thing, but when my parents are there it's an entirely different matter. I was so mad I called CB's headquarters in KL and made a complaint against that $^$@!! Hmphff.
Was out with Heng Han today--he bought a pair of Hush Puppies from my parents. We hung out in Starbucks for a while before going off to pick up his girlf in Bukit Jalil. Off to Ravi's for some yummy "nasi lemak"; met up with Shean Min and we headed to my place to chill for a while. Han's leaving tomorrow for Aussie. I can't believe how quickly time flies by.

I'm home *big cheesy grin* Was at Shean Min's place for a few hours burning a couple of CDs before we headed for supper in a mamak store nearby; the food's absolutely fantastic! Heng Han treated us (thanks Heng Han! *hug*) and we just joked and laughed about all the silly stuff we used to do (and still do!). Tried calling Tse Wei, Irene and Sooks all night, but didn't get through to any of em. Oh well, so much for Bangsar...Managed to get my hands on the Genting trip pictures; omg, they are hilarious, and some are just sweet! I can't wait to print a set of my own; I'm so gonna bring it to .ca with me. I'm gonna blow up the guys' compromising photo shot to a 12R or so, and post it in my room with the tagline "I support gay rights!" ahahahha. I can just imagine the looks Yi Kai would get should he set foot in Trent, roflmao. anyway, I should go pack. Leaving nice and early tomorrow for Penang.

My godparents came from Klang to see me, so I had to slap on a happy face when what I really wanted to do was crawl back into bed. Went out for dim sum and was at daddy's shop till 4. Just got home, and will be going out soon with Heng Han to Shean Min's place to burn a couple of CDs. Betcha I'm gonna fall asleep there, blah. A couple of us are supposed to head to Bangsar tonight, but I just read sookie's blog that she's gonna go watch Man. U vs the Malaysian football team tonight. I dunno.

Was supposed to head over to Shean Min's place today with Heng Han to burn a couple of CDs, but things got a lil' mixed up, so we cancelled it. Watched two VCDs today; Little Nicky and Fong Sai Yuk (it's a chinese kung fu flick). No plans for the night, so I had dinner with my cousins and nephews. Steamboat dinner, was ok I guess. We decided at the last minute to head over to Chilli's in Bangsar for dessert, damn it was well worth it *big grin* Jane and Jan Ee called to go yumchar and Matrix (it's a pool club) respectively, but I was with family, so I couldn't make it. Darn, if only I knew of it earlier, blah. So it's a Saturday night and I'm home. Oh well :)

Just got back from a mamak session with Shean Min, Shao Yi and Poh Lin. I hang out a lot with these people, don't I? lol. Ah well, my old college buddies; they're fantastic people. I kinda miss Sharon and Yi Kai tho'. The good thing is that I'll be seeing them next week, wahey! :)
Watched a couple of VCDs today, among them Beetlejuice, Sound of Music (again) and Sister Act II. I can't get over how young Winona Ryder was in that movie, and how old Geena Davis must be now, lol. Fantastic show, that.

Was up at 11 to let the repairman in the house; something's wrong with our fridge. 45 minutes and RM235 later, there was a new timer installed, the dude left, and I hopped back into bed. Woke up an hour later and read a cheesy romance novel which I've already read for a good 35 times at least. Anyway, Reflections of Misery is up, and my fears were kinda unfounded by the looks of it. arlee's cool with it (thank god *wipes brow*) ... 'less he was being nice though, which I wouldn't put past him. Ah well, what's done is done. Off to watch more VCDs. May go out tonight; still not sure.

I am honest-to-god jumpy. And worried. And nervous. It's almost 4am, and I'm still awake. I couldn't get Misery out of my mind. It's just too vivid. I had to finish the poem. and I finally did [link], but I can't help but feel that my words do the piece no justice, no justice at all. Help..!!

I've been doing nothin' but watch movies all day. I think I've covered more VCDs today than I have the whole month of June. Had lunch with Shean Min today near Taylor's College, so I managed to collect my money from my boss as well. Yay, money! :) Anyways, the few movies which I caught.
Evolution - corny, but hilarious all the same. "I've watched movies before. Black men die first!" or something to that effect *grin*
Security Unlimited - A really old Sam Hui film; I think this was released back in the late seventies or early eighties. Cantonese flick, but really funny.
Aces Go Places II - now this is a classic. Watched it religiously over and over when I was a kid. Another Sam Hui comedy.
Head Over Heels - Been wanting to watch this ever since I saw the preview in .ca. Not that great, but there were some funny moments, and Freddie Prinze Jr. is cute :P
Bedazzled - Bah. I couldn't see what the hype was about. Brendan Fraser just totally bugged me, although I have to say, Liz Hurley makes a wicked Satan. I thought it was hilarious when she said "Most men think they're God. This one happened to be right". How true :P
Sound Of Music - heck, if you don't know what show this is, I'll be damned; where have they been hiding you? :P
Blue Hawaii - now this is seriously old. Dude, it's so old, my mom watched it when she was still in her teens, that's how old it is. An Elvis Presley flick, I have to say that "Can't help falling in love with you" still sounds best when rendered by him. I think the last time I watched it, I was 5.
Anyway, I've been working on arleetec's "Misery", but there's so much in my head I can't get it to flow right. Off to bed now.

3am and I'm still awake, hmm. spoke to Di (This Di is from .ca *grin*) on ICQ, quite happy. I received the go-ahead from Ricky @ arleetec (he's a friend from devart) to massacre his piece Digital Modus with my nonsensical words. It's already uploaded; I call it Digital Modus - Understanding. It took me less that half an hour to write, which feels great, since its been ages since I wrote something. Writer's block is a royal pain in the butt. I don't know how good it is, but it's just nice to release pent-up frustrations. Tomorrow I'll be working on another piece of arlee's called Misery; I think I'll have a real kickass time with that one. Well, time for bed. Word up peeps :)

Woke up late today (let's not go into details) and watched the 2nd disc to Scary Movie. Why do I put myself through it?! Some chick called asking about Joshi (remember I said we were gonna sell her?). She's coming tomorrow, so I'm feeling really down at the moment. I hate animals. They make you grow so attached to them, and them something bad happens, and boom, you're alone again. See? I can't even cope with losing some dumb animal, let alone some person. So yeah, screw relationships. Screw everything. I just wanna pack up and leave.

Spent 3 hours online devart today, yikes! Watched "Billy Elliot"--I thought it was simply fantastic! I didn't enjoy the first half, but the second made me cry, esp. when there was this part where the father sacrificed his pride to earn money so that Billy could go to London for tryouts at the Royal Ballet Academy. *sniffles* It was a bit crass to watch "Meet The Parents" after that, although it did make me laugh. "Watched the first disc of "Scary Movie", but it was sooo dumb. And anyway, Sue and Azuan showed up, so we headed out to Darulsalam for some drinks. Played Boggle at my place (I was the worst, and I'm supposed to be a lit student, the shame :( ) Anyway, they left soon thereafter, so here I am, in front of my pc, chatting to Kayla and sooks online, yay! :)

Just found out, I'm heading to Penang again next Monday, and I'm bloody excited, 'cause my parents are gonna close the shop for three days, woohoo!! I know this sounds like nothing, but to me it's a big deal, 'cause it's the first time my parents are actually gonna go for a holiday with me. The last time I travelled with either parent was when I was 8 or 9 (excluding trips to mum's hometown to pray). And to top it off, we're staying in Gurney Resort Hotel, mwahahaha. I am @#$^@$& excited!!!

Re-cap for the day before I left Penang...
Let's see.. my last night in Penang was so-so; we woke up around 2.30 (eek..), picked Yi Kai up from college before heading off for a realllyyyy late lunch. Dropped Kai home before heading to Feringgi where I bought a couple of skirts and sarongs for my friends back in .ca. We also bought a present for Shean Min to cheer him up since he missed out on this trip. We had dinner later, headed back to Feringgi again to check out the night market before Kai showed up. Went back to Sharon's to change; we wanted to go clubbing around Gurney Drive y'see. Unfortunately, we were too bloody broke to pay the cover charge (about RM20, and I'll be damned if I forked that out! If I pay RM20 for techno crap, I might as well fork out RM25 for "The Beach Club" right here in KL where they play decent music!). ANYway, we ended up in this realllllyy ah beng place called "Canto". No cover, but a jug of beer was RM40, ouch. A screwdriver was 15, and it tasted yucky. Unanimous decision that the KL scene was much, much better. After 35 minutes of techno crap ("dup dup dup dup...") we decided enough was enough and headed to "Orange". Still had to pay cover, so screw the whole damn thing, we headed to a really neat mamak place and had some good food instead :P It was raining heavily, and most of the roads were flooded by then. Back in Yi Kai's place, there was no electricity till 4am, lol. We stayed up till around 5 somethin', surfing the net and such.

Mm, woke up at 1, had some lunch and played mahjong today (I'm known as the "spare" around here, and only play when they're short of a player :P). Anyway, was on this huge losing streak before I started winning most of my money back. Obviously, when that started to happen my cousin called it off, giving the excuse that she wanted to go out *growls* Whatever!
I'm so boredd.d... I think I'll go look for another job...

I can't think of anything to blog. Just found out that sooks was involved in a realy bad car accident last night which trashed her car, but she's fine, so that's good enough for me.

Had dinner with Yi Kai. Sharon and Shao Yi before heading to Secret Recipe for some cake, drinks and laughs. I'm staying over at Sharon's tonight; Yi Kai's got an exam tomorrow morning. I called sooks and got her voicemail; she called back later. Haven't seen her in weeks!! Let's make plans for next week yah? devart's still down, hrm...
I bought a couple of postcards; can't mail them yet coz I didn't bring my address book with me, darn.

Yi Kai's loaning me "Grapes of Wrath", woo..!! I think I'll start on Tolkien once I get back to KL. Busy busy busy. BTW, Yi Kai showed me some water colours he's been messing with over summer, and I'll be damned if that guy doesn't have talent! Surprising things you find out about yer pals after these years :) I can't log onto devart, is it down or something? *growls*

Word up people! ;) I'm already in Penang and enjoyin' the quality time spent with my buds. Genting, as said earlier, was fantastic! We cooked, chatted, played cards, played jokes, the works. There were 7 of us altogether; Yi Kai, Sharon, Shao Yi, Shean Min, Heng Han, Poh Lin and myself. The last night was hilarious, as the six of us (with the exception of Poh Lin) lined ourselves up against the window and slept in a row like a bunch of kids. I woke up several times during the night coz I was being squashed, lol, but it was fantastic fun all the same. The joke of the trip was Shao Yi (as usual) with her announcement, "I'm so sad. I can't suck!" lol. In all truth, she actually said "I'm so sad, my cards suck", but trust us to pervert the truth, lol. On the day we left, we took a couple of photos, and the guys willingly obliged us with a suggestive pose *grin* Anyway, off to read "Bridget Jones' Diary". Will blog more laters. Ciao peeps!

It's 4.19am; I got home about 20 minutes ago and not feeling that great. My whole family's mad at me (including my dog) coz Sharon and I took the car and I'm back late and andand... arghhhh. It's all my fault, I know. I should have called or something, but it just totally slipped my mind. I didn't think my parents would be up worrying their heads off :(
I was at the shop today, and after dinner decided to head to Shean Min's place to burn a couple of CDs. We managed to persuade my brother to loan us his car, and by the time we picked Shao Yi, Poh Lin and Yi Kai up, it was already 12.30am. We were at Shean Min's till 2.30 before heading to a nearby mamak stall for some food. And then the phone calls started pouring in; mom, dad, Colin, Audrey, mom, Audrey, mom, Colin, Audrey.. argh. We rushed home like a mad thing after we dropped Yi Kai off in KL. What a day...
Yesterday was spent lepaking at home, watching some movies and stuff. Tse Wei and Diana, two old high school friends of mine, dropped by in the afternoon and we chatted and stuff. Di is leaving next week for Australia. A couple of us met up at Starbucks that night; Shean Min, Heng Han, his girlf Joanne, Sharon and myself. We waited till 12 for Yi Kai's class to finish before we grabbed some mamak food together near Thrifty's. Got home around 2am.
Anyway, it's 4.30am, and I'm leaving for Teluk Intan (2 hours away from the city) at 6 to pray with my family. Guess I'll go pack now.

I haven�t blogged in ages! Not surprising, since Sharon and Yi Kai came down from Penang on Tuesday. We�re having a blast, and Sharon will be at my place till next Monday, when we head up to Genting for three days. I�ll be following her and Kai back to Penang, and will probably meet Azuan and Sue there.
Monday night was spent with Poh Lin in Bangsar. I managed to drag unca Azuan and Sue out, and we headed to Bar Zar where we had a drink each and just chatted and stuff. Got home around 1, and slept at 3.
I was up early Tuesday morning as a couple of us were heading to Klang for bak kut teh (pork cooked in herbal soup; it tastes better than it sounds :P). Heng Han got into a small car accident near my place, so he couldn�t join us, dang. We headed to Nick�s place after that, coz he�s leaving this week (or so we thought). Got home late in the evening, and Sharon and Yi Kai reached KL at around 8. Heng Han drove us over to Shewan Min�s before we headed to Kai�s place in downtown KL where we stayed the night. We cho dai-dee�d till 3am :P
Woke up around 11 the next day and had lunch near Shean min�s place before he dropped us off at my parents� shop. Mom and dad let us take the car (obviously they didn�t let me drive, blah) so Sharon drove back to Subang to pick Shao Yi up. We had some food at Ravi�s and reminisced about old times. BBQ at Norman�s place that night; it was ok. Found out that Nick wasn't leaving till two weeks later, because there were some problems with his medical check-up thingie. We went yum cha-ing in PJ later, as Yi Kai�s course ended at 12 (his mom signed him up for some sorta self-evaluating/improving course) . Was up talking to Sharon till 4am.
We visited Nicholle and her new baby today. It�s still taking some getting used to the thought that an old classmate of mine is not only married, but that she has a kid too. Eek, Chloe is simply adorable, though. I saw Nicholle carrying her, and words simply floated through my head, which I wrote later and posted up in devart. I call it Chloe. Anyway, Joseph came by and we went out, �cause he�s leaving for Australia on Saturday. Geez. Everyone�s leaving. By the time I get back next year, there�ll be no one left.

I hope the book's not that bad :P Was up till 3am reading Chinese mythology and folklore, and I woke up at 7.30 and went for a walk in the park nearby with my parents. The phone call came at 9, and heck, it was my aunt telling me she needed me at the office to help sort some things out (I kinda figured). So much for a good start to the holiday yah? Total bummer. And she told me it was to be only for an hour or so. Hell, yeah right! I was there for over 4 hours *growls*.Got home and crashed on the bed before Sue called. She wanted me to head to Genting with her tomorrow, but I can't make it 'cause my mom needs to go to the dentist on Wednesday morning and I gotta watch the shop. sigh. when is my holiday ever gonna start?

Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings", Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" (my all-time favourite) and Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Scarlet Letter". I'm gonna spend the next week or so reading! I finished 2 books this evening; Roald Dahl's "Boy" and "Going Solo". He's led such an interesting life. Can't wait to get started on "The Scarlet Letter" before I go about reading Tolkien. I figure it would help me in my science fiction classes next term :)
I received my letter from the uni stating that I got into all the classes I signed up for, yay! Gonna be doing science fiction, mythology, history in theatre, literary context and something else, can't remember.

Walla, DMX kicks ass :) Just watched Charlie's Angels (like, finally!). Nice, I had fun :P Played with Joshi for an hour or so. I gotta go get ready to go out now; heading to my parents' shop. *hums along to DMX on her way out*
