Celine Cabas

How cool are these minimalist Nike Blazers?

Was kind of feeling that I have not been wearing enough colour lately so I pulled out a bright coral sweater and my trusty Celine Cabas and finished it off with these trainers. It’s hard to find a versatile pair that can complement most looks but these are perfect! I fell in love with these immediately and really love the punctuation of white it adds to my outfit here. What do you think? I can already see myself wearing these quite a lot.

Here’s a second look that we took a quick snap of today.

Nike Blazers come in a whole lot of colour ways but these black/black/white babies are exclusive to JD Sports. They have an amazing selection of trainers and they ship to Australia for a mere £4.99 so check them out!

1 - Nike Blazer Lo trainers c/o JD Sports / ASOS coat / Mango shorts / Celine bag

2 - Robert Rodriguez tee / Necklace c/o My Jewellery Story / Zara pants / Nike Blazer Lo trainers c/o JD Sports / Celine sunnies / Alexander Wang bag

And PS if you’re like me and love the no-sock look when it comes to low cut shoes - I swear by these.

haha I was so confused at first when I read “blazers” and thought you were referring to the jacket, before I realised it was the shoes! haha.

They look great - nice for casual wear, I like them in both outfits, although the first one is probably my favourite as I like the touches of coral :)

You’re totally right! Fixed now.. haha. You’ve inspired me to wear some colour!

Love the sports-luxe looks you’re rocking here! The (navy?) camo pants in the last photo are to die for..

Love them but on you and not me. I still struggle with black footwear - they look really harsh on me but look really edgy on you. I love the Nike Blazer designs - I bought a pair in the grey colour earlier on in the year but eventually returned them as I couldn’t decide whether I was past it for a pair of blazers or not (I do have a number of years on you). Also I need to invest in some really good socklets. Those Wolford ones look good but have you seen or tried the Falke ones as a comparison? http://www.nomadicd.com/2013/06/show-some-skin.html

    • http://www.absolutely-fuzzy.com Stephanie

I’m not sure if they are “harsh” because they are so new or not. The soles of my pony hair ones are now not a blinding white anymore and look really lived in. As for years I don’t think anyone can ever outgrow trainers! I will probably still be hobbling around in trainers when I’m grey.. haha. I will need to investigate the Falke socklets - just had a look and the rubberised bit sounds good. Mostly don’t have the problem of them sliding down my heels before, but I did previously with a different pair that was in a smaller size.

Love them, that coat is so pretty and the bag as well.xxx

I totally thought you’d found a Nike blazer as well, and thought, my god, the tailoring is so great, when did this happen?! But then I realized you meant the shoes. Ha! Still, the shoes are great. I’m really starting to appreciate the value of a good sneaker that you can dress up a bit. I think I may need another pair myself, and I’m looking at Nike options for sure. Did you know you can design your own pair on their website? You can customize all the colors and everything. Just in case they stop carrying that particular black and white combo or something and you needed to restock.

I don’t think they ship the customised ones to Australia. But that might have changed now, I will have to check it out again :) Nike has been doing some really good ones lately – I actually have the Nike Frees as well in an identical colour way. That make me sound really boring, haha.

The tailoring on this jacket is pretty good though – I was as surprised when I first saw them on ASOS!

Oh, sorry, you might be right about that. I always forget to check international shipping when I drool over things online Which is stupid because since I’m in Spain a lot of the things I used to be able to get easily in the US are out of reach now. So you’d think I”d keep that in mind. Oh well.

I actually think having to pairs of daily sneakers is pretty smart. I have these zany ones that I’m wearing constantly http://bit.ly/XWhZmw and a more subdued pair of black & silver Munichs, but I’m feeling like I need (yet another) pair in the rotation.

Also, love the jacket. And the Wolfords sound like they stay up pretty good but I swear by my little Falke socklets!

In love with the coat in the first set, is it double layered? It’s beautiful either way & I love the pop of coral. I have so many sneakers & yet I always want more, though I am wearing them more & more on a day to day basis, so I think it’s justified! ;) These ones are gorgeous, I always love black pairs with thick white soles, something about the contrast that just really appeals to me & Nike do the best kind.

    PS: Loving the redesign! :)

    • http://www.absolutely-fuzzy.com Stephanie

They are faux lapels! But do a really good job of convincing otherwise.

Yeah I love the contrast as well, I think I’m up to three pairs of similar black / white-soled shoes now. I really should stop. But I do wear flats pretty much every day so definitely justified. Just have to make a bit more space for them.. haha first world blogger problems.

Thank you! I missed having my sidebar :)

Great blog and love the sporty touch of these Nikes :)

Yeah I find those socks indispensable! The Wolford ones are a nice luxury but basically anything in that kind of cut works well.

Hi Stephanie! First time visit to your blog, found you through a fellow blogger, and it’s so lovely! You are rocking those Nikes :)

Thanks Emma, I’m enjoying your blog too!

Thanks M, W will be happy to hear that. And I changed it because I missed my old sidebar :))

  • findmeamuse

I love how utterly happy and relaxed you look but also that fab coral colour! It definitely is a great shade for you. The jacket is the perfect length! So hard to find.

Can’t go past some good footwear. I’ve been looking for more simple sneakers after being confined to them and realising my batman cons will only take me into so many outfits successfully

  • Not Just A Pretty Dress

Both looks are great and they perfectly channel the ‘sporty chic’ trend! As for trainers, I’ve been a loyal fan of the Veja label, but I would love to get another pair - maybe blue or red - like yours! Caterina PS: BTW, I really like the new look of the blog!

  • thestylecrusader

Ooo la la. I love this outfit on you. The shoes are delicious but I’m really drooling over the bag!

It was so refreshing, this London Fashion Week so many show goers were wearing trainers instead of heels. I was so happy to see that as I’m rubbish in heels! xx
