Caught a flu over the weekend and it wasn’t much fun.. how gloomy is the weather here? Still, we managed to make the trek to Reverse Garbage in Marrickville to pick up some leather scraps for a DIY project. These guys are a non-profit organisation that recycle and reuse stuff that would otherwise end up in our landfills.. so good! They have the most interesting stuff from mannequins to giant cogwheels to furniture and heaps of craft items that don’t cost an arm and a leg. I only thought I wanted one decent scrap of leather and they were $10 for as much as you can fit in a bag, but I did not want to take any more than I needed so I ended up with a little more than a fistful for $5.
