This weekend me and my friends did a massive food run and hit up Eveleigh Markets (where these were taken), Vic’s Meats Market Day and Salt Meats Cheese all in the span of three hours. These are pretty much my major food sources in Sydney. I came back with some beautiful marrow bones, just about the most divine thing roasted and spread on a freshly made baguette from Sonoma and made some pork rilettes for the first time out of Anthony Bourdain’s Les Halles cookbook. The recipe says to leave it alone for three days so the flavours can develop, but we’ve already smashed two small jars today! So good!
It was pretty warm on Saturday so this was what I wore out. I’ve been after a small bag like this for just about forever and like any good fashion brand, Zara knew what I wanted before I even knew I wanted it. How brilliant is this bag’s geometric quilting and a brief note on these skull slippers - cute as they are the skull pretty much meant death for the backs of my heels..

Sounds like a great time at the markets. I’ve always been curious about the taste of marrow bones. Never knew how to eat/cook it with!

I always just roast it in the oven and have it on fresh bread with some sea salt, but cooking it in a sauce is really yummy too!

Ha Sue, I highly doubt that is true. The Anya shopper I’ve had for years now, bought it during a NAP sale and it’s really served me well! It’s indestructible!
