Last Rays

Spent the long weekend staying in with W and pretty much played Borderlands 2 the whole way through. Can’t say it was the most productive weekend but it’s been a long time since we’ve done something like this! Finally emerged from our lair on Monday eve to have dinner, just in time to catch the last rays of light..

Haven’t worn this cutout top for years, but felt it complemented the simplicity of these pants. The cutouts always reminds me of the 80s, I remember when I bought it I thought it would be awesome to throw it on top of a leotard and neon legwarmers.. LOL! Funny how we attach certain memories to our clothing huh?

Zara pants and heels, MNG top, Celine bag, Diva necklace. Photos by W.

Love your celine bag! The pop of blocked colour adds a great touch to your overa outfit.

Love the photos taken in the evening sun. The top does work well with the pants - simple but effective. Credit to W for taking some awesome photos of you - wish my grumps was more obliging but having said that, I would just pull silly faces at him.

And your cat on your instagram pics is cool. He looks a dude - you’re going to tell me he’s a she now aren’t you? I have the mankiest cat ever.

W is incredibly patient with me, thankfully :) The orange cat is a dude, the other black and white one is a girl ;)

You should wear that top more often! It looks so good on you. Ohhh it is definitely NOT the cutouts that were in the 80′s. HAHAHAHA I so remember them! Great leopard pants and necklace! Very stylish!

Thanks Kim - hahaha yeah I know, it was worse in the 80s but I’ve always just thought this would belong right in there with the spandex and leotards etc.

Love those leopard pants on you, and the cut out top. I have a similar top, bought in the 90′s. They were big back then too. I think I have many of them in my closet but they are too short to wear anymore. I think I’ll eventually give them away. Although I never throw away clothes…
I also love the light in these photos!

Gorgeous photo series, gotta love the magic hour! I have a top with cut out shoulders and can’t figure out how to wear it, I like how you paired it with the printed pants….I’ve gotta try that!

Personally, I tend to associate the cut it out pieces with the 90s but hey everything comes back into style and I love those leopard pants.

Great combo!
p.s. I still have legwarmers AND armwarmers. They are neatly folded and stored and I will always love them…

Your outfit is gorgeous. It’s a shame that it’s too cold for us to wear that kind of outfit in Finland. :/ xx
