Spent some time up at Colmar; it is somewhat idyllic but for the busloads of asean tourists that flock there even during low periods, and quite the novelty. Went horse riding on a whim and destroyed my satin sandals in the process. I’d only brought one pair of footwear :( But it was so worth it! There’s just that one feeling you never get from anything else but on horseback. Which gives me another thing to look forward to.. riding at Centennial Park ;)
Penang this week. Like last minute Malaysia tour only. So fun!
Didn’t think I would be so busy not working. Honest. I barely get enough sleep these days. Although admittedly I have been watching Gossip Girl, Lipstick Jungle AND Cashmere Mafia and finally am done with all three. Bit disappointed that Cashmere has been shelved, although understandably, the dialogue consists of one-liner after one-liner, a bit too OTT even if I like that kinda cheesy wit.. but the fashion! Mmm. I like Lipstick, if only for Victory Ford’s character. But I feel the billionaire she’s seeing in season one has zero on-screen charisma. Nothing like Chris Noth as Mr Big. Nothing! I miss Mr Big :)
Been packing heaps. Decided to do a garage sale thingo at Bijou Bazaar next weekend. I highly doubt my new social calender in Sydney will involve a lot of black tie or formal events so I will be selling some of my dresses. Sniff.
After 4 boxes filled up I still seem to have alot of stuff left over to pack, not sure how I’m going to fit all that into my suitcase. Still haven’t decided what to do with my consumables - haircare, skincare, makeup etc - it’s probably not worth shipping over due to weight and I’m not giving up precious suitcase weight to those things. Dilemma! At least I haven’t been shopping. But I did finally make it to the Melium Outlet with Nik on the weekend just to check it out. Floor length hand beaded Farah Khan dresses for RM300+ is pretty good deal. In love with a Pucci bag I have no excuse to buy. Not a bad selection of end season stuff, however the Tod’s and Stuart Weitzman shoes were pretty dodge.
Have to get back to packing again.. am trying to bring as little as possible.. if that’s possible. So many things to do, so little time. Really not sure how it’s possible since I quit raiding altogether for now. Weird :)
Just got back from Club Med. Not sure if I’m still hungover from all that drinking. But it was a really awesome trip guys.. thanks for having me and TK, thanks for the farewell speech thing. The organising committee did a fantastic job too.
Never been to a Club Med before so was pleasantly surprised at how fun it can be. The guys up at Cherating put alot of effort into the decor which changes daily according to the theme, and the show at night, and all the mad activities including an outdoor full-size trapeze thing (I flew off the swing LOL thank God for safety net), archery range etc.. but the best bit is that everyone participates. The buffet spreads were pretty good also, and the free flow of beer and house pouring at the bar led to a fair amount of mess :) Yay us!
Anyway now that I’m back home, I’ve started packing again. It’s amazing how much stuff I’ve acquired over the years. I’ll be thinking about this the next time I go shopping :P Anyway I have some stuff for sale. Figure I’d recycle it instead of chucking it out, it’s not really stuff that charities have a need for. Drop me a line if you’re interested :)
