We were in the city shopping last night and walked past a new chocolate shop at the Strand Arcade called Bon Bon at the entrance where the old Jurlique store used to be.
“Ooh, Bon Bon!” I said. W (being French) corrected me and told me you don’t pronounce the N. “So.. it’s Bo Bo?” I replied without thinking. If I was sitting on a metaphorical chair I would have fallen off it laughing at what I just said.. LOL.
The French have a way of making the simplest words sound quite different to my Asian ears. I am endlessly amused/charmed by how W pronounces “blue”.
The chocolates were delish!

Although I’m on a shoe ban at the moment, I love a good pair of biker boots. They’re just so versatile! I practically live in my JC Brits at the moment but I really wouldn’t mind another pair to kick around in, especially one with studs. And these red jeans would go really well with them - love the quilted stitch detail and the wax finish!
My obsession with Baggu continues and today I just discovered they now make them in leather - a great alternative to the Jil Sander Market Bag and the Maison Martin Margiela oversized leather shopper that was all the rage earlier this year.

For a whole month, this gigantic installation by American artist Janet Echelman hangs outside the Sydney Town Hall on George Street as part of the Powerhouse Museum’s new Love Lace exhibition. Tsunami 1.26 was inspired by the 2010 Chile earthquake.
Not much to look at by day, it does come quite a bit alive at night. Especially tonight when it was particularly windy - quite fascinating to watch!
There are a whole host of outdoor installations this month. Hopefully I will get to photograph some over the weekends. Loving the new camera so far.

Finally got myself a DSLR! Quite excited, been meaning to get one for ages and my cat has already been subject to random teasing for pictures.. and here’s a gratuitous mirror shot from today.
Weather in Sydney has been off and on lately. Last Friday it hit 27c but today it was wet and cold enough to pull out this brown knit maxi from ASOS that I’ve been hoarding which is perfect for this weather. Speaking of which, they are having a 48-hour sale up to 50% off so get in quick!

Some recent wristjunk combos I’ve been sporting:
#1 - Wanderlust + Co, Balenciaga, DIY friendship bracelet with brass studs from Studs & Spikes
#2 - Rachel Leigh, Low Luv X Erin Wasson, DIY friendship bracelet
#3 - Various DIY bracelets (took this while I was making them)
#4 - Wanderlust+Co, Low Luv X Erin Wasson, Rachel Leigh gumball ring
Been a little DIY-mad lately. I made a bunch in the last couple of weeks and currently waiting for some more Swarovski bits to arrive. I used the turquoise chain in pic #3 and really love the colour! And have discovered the awesome Studs & Spikes webstore that does these amaaaazing quality brass cone spikes. I have a bunch and I’ve been debating what to do with them. I’m still lusting after the spike wedges in my Twitter background pic and I may hunt down a pair of shoes to DIY.. still thinking about it as Summer is coming soon and I won’t want to be in leather booties! Also, spike barrettes are rather tempting as are colourful leather spike bracelets!
Will post up some more soon. I’ve taken to adding some studs to the traditional friendship bracelet in a solid colour, and plan to make a few more.
