I’ve only just realised after all this time that I don’t own a black jersey mini so I got myself one from ASOS. Their shipping to Australia has become mega efficient - I’ve been getting packages in 4-5 days when some stores that don’t offer free shipping takes up to 15 days! Their house brand has definitely better quality fabric and finish than it used to a few years ago. Case in point, this jersey mini is 48% modal and really soft, slightly heavier than the regular T by Alexander Wang jersey and just the right length for my 5’8″ frame. I’m super pleased with it! ASOS is definitely raising the bar.. what do you guys think?

Finally, in the last two weeks of Summer we actually have Summer weather in Sydney. Today is such a scorcher that by the time I got into work I was half-contemplating jumping into the pool to cool off. Not that I actually have a pool at work, but one can daydream. And in my daydream I’m swanning around in this (and I also have the day off).
Meanwhile the best thing I could think of this morning is to throw on an oversized white shirt, which is exactly what I did. I’m hoping these pieces will materialise in my wardrobe just in time for the final Summer weeks. I can’t believe Autumn is just around the corner! Enjoy the weekend :) x

It’s been a mad week and a half since we moved and we are almost settled in. Almost. The internet has yet to be properly set up due to some cabling issues so my access has been limited to 3G tethering at best which, although at decent speeds, comes with a data limit. Frustrating to say the least, but at least we’ve got a lovely view and the cats are happy!
Today’s outfit taken by W: I’m obsessed with studs (still), and apropos, these convertible BE&D flats which are past season that I picked up for a song in two colours no less. At the moment my outfits are limited to denim and jersey, and a few work-appropriate pieces like this shirt that have remained relatively wrinkle-free. But not for long - I just ordered a garment steamer from Jiffy which will hopefully arrive.. in a jiffy. Sorry :)

Sophie Wu, the up-and-coming British actress most famous for her role in Kick-Ass is the face of Christopher Waller AW12. LOVE LOVE LOVE her boyish look here, it works so well with the clothes – and below are some looks from the collection which features a minimalist colour palette, digitally printed fabric and leather panel details:

Just a couple of things that caught my eye this week: A metal bangle with a matte finish that I found in the men’s section of ASOS, an impossibly high pair of patent pumps with a receding toe from Jessica Simpson (she gets shoes really right at times), a geometric silk top from Hugo and rather subtle leaf-print pants from DVF considering the explosion of botanical prints we’ve been seeing in SS12.
And finally, a stunning canvas bag from Theysken’s Theory with neon patent trim that is both beautiful and functional at the same time. I need this in my life – any of you feel the same?
