Fun shoot! Am tired. PP is a great place to take pictures. Had a crazy time trying to inflate bunny balloons (which popped) and phallic elephant balloons (which, unfortunately, didn’t) while negotiating rain in dress best left for sunny days.

White walls. Random furniture. And oh, the chairs. Structural, colourful mess!

Choen and his Hasselblad. I like peacocks when they’re not real birds.

Kat and I messing with the props. I don’t really know what they are but they are crazy.

We shot a ridiculously expensive Juicy dress ($21k!?) that didn’t come with wheels. And another so broad the model couldn’t fit in the door.

Taisu in one of the crazy Venetian masks Kat collects. Love love love. Reminded me of one of the old Pure White parties we had before.

Came home with some balloons. Inhaled the helium to see if I sounded like Mickey. I did. I’ve always wanted to do that.

Next stop Singapore. Still haven’t packed and stuff.

Race you up the stairs!

Can’t remember where I took this screenshot from, but I was just thinking about it today and I thought I’d post it up. Walked through Robinson’s shoe department today after lunch and a pair of shoes caught my eye.

“Wah 500 bucks”

“Are you the kind of person usually who picks up something and it’s the most expensive thing on display?”

“Yeah, some times. Quite often”

“It means you’ve got expensive tastes!”

“No, expensive doesn’t necessarily mean tasteful - look at all the rich people with zero style” Not saying I have great taste lah, but it’s true. Money can’t buy style but it can buy many attempts at it.

(Case in point, the Fendi Paillette Spy.. err wtf? And I love the Spy bag!)

Form intrigues me. I like examining things, even ugly things, and especially odd-looking things. Like these splint-inspired whatchamacallits. Although I will probably not get curious enough to want to try them on. I wonder if it comes with stick-on soles. Ouch.

But man, it is beautiful to look at!

Trigger happy

Did a shoot with Joe last weekend.. interesting results! I like. The direction: urban, gritty, raw. I think we managed to capture that :)

So much for not buying shoes pt. 1

Broke my resolution today. Not bad lah, 3 months plus, 1 pair.

So we had a team lunch in Bangsar today. Then April insisted we check out these rubber shoes in Bangsar Village. I’m like, so skeptical about rubber shoes right, like ewwww.. rubber.. thinking she’s going to point out another Crocs-type thing (ugh ugh) so I didn’t get too excited about seeing these shoes instead got distracted by a pair of Aldo peep-toe leopard fur sky-high dominatrix stilts I wish I could afford. But it’s April, she’s the editor of the funkiest street culture mag in the country, and I should trust her taste more because these rubber shoes actually fucking rock. OMG!

And so I ended up with a pair. Har har. Damned impulse shopping. But I feel the same way about them that I do about all my United Nudes.. it’s a piece of design innovation history you know? And I love shoe design. Especially if they’re designed by non-shoe designers, like architects (for UN).. I mean, how many people can say they have Kevlar soles? Best part is, they are fucking comfortable.

OMG April…..!

That 007 is like, hawt…

Been meaning to post these up after producing a Spring/Summer supplement for one of our publications last month. I absolutely love these gems! Have never really witness the mastery of Pucci draping until this season (pic 7) as all this time I’ve not thought someone could out-drape Donna Karan. Elie Saab (pic 2/3) has outdone herself.. now of course like every other girl I wish I could a) afford them, b) have an occasion to wear them to and c) that Daniel Craig would be me date… thanks Susu ;)
