Catching a few rays of sunshine at the Centennial Park with W, where decided to stop by to take some pictures. The drying reeds kind of make the perfect backdrop for my newly lightened hair, though I hope that’s not going to be a metaphor for its condition. The clutch was a gift from a girlfriend before I left for Sydney - it’s one of my favourite possessions and I’m always looking for things to pair it with. This chunky sweater is its new best friend as far as I am concerned.
My hair has been a little dry since I bleached it, so last night I made a hair mask out of honey, yoghurt and egg yolks (left over from making macarons) and it’s made a world of difference! Will definitely make this a regular thing, since we always seem to have leftover yolks from our baking endeavours. If you have any tips for maintaining over-processed hair, do share!

So glad for the weekend, despite it always feeling too short! Weather was halfway decent today so we decided to head to Circular Quay for the annual Aroma Fest. Ironically, because the queues at the stalls were too long, we grabbed coffee from a hole in the wall under the train station that said ‘Sydney’s Best Coffee’ but it was unbelievably bad.. I thought that never happens in Sydney because we’re such coffee snobs here.. haha!
Went a little blonder over the week; if you follow me on Instagram (absolutelyfuzzy) you probably saw some pictures of it, and of W taking these snaps! I’m not 100% sure this is the colour for me – what do you think?

Battling a serious gust of wind when we took these photos - these are the few where I don’t look like a crazy person with hair sticking out at all angles. I wish I was one of those people that wake up with great hair all the time. I’m absolutely terrible at any form of hair care apart from a deep conditioning mask every now and again, and on a daily basis some surf spray and a touch of this miracle oil on the ends..
Stole this tee from W who kind of gave it up willingly after it shrunk in the dryer, haha. I’ve been wanting a long sleeve tee for a while, so hooray for being able to raid my man’s closet for wardrobe staples. Grey and red are one of those ambiguous colour combos I’m always trying to pair. In print media these two have similar black/white values so they are not as commonly seen paired together, but I just love the way they look. Worn with matching shoes from Industry that go halfway up my calves but I prefer them covered for colder months.

W and I had plans to head to the Bastille Day Markets in North Sydney but got off at the wrong train stop, so we ended up by the water in Kirribilli just by chance. What a stunner of a Winter’s day huh? I actually wore this out all afternoon without an extra layer! This dress was from last Summer in Athens and the sleeveless biker is a new acquisition that I will definitely be wearing a lot in the coming days.. I know, I’m already cracking out the all-white outfit in anticipation..

Caught a flu over the weekend and it wasn’t much fun.. how gloomy is the weather here? Still, we managed to make the trek to Reverse Garbage in Marrickville to pick up some leather scraps for a DIY project. These guys are a non-profit organisation that recycle and reuse stuff that would otherwise end up in our landfills.. so good! They have the most interesting stuff from mannequins to giant cogwheels to furniture and heaps of craft items that don’t cost an arm and a leg. I only thought I wanted one decent scrap of leather and they were $10 for as much as you can fit in a bag, but I did not want to take any more than I needed so I ended up with a little more than a fistful for $5. I posted a few finds on Instagram, including a giant perspex star I wanted to take home but have no space for. My Instagram username is @absolutelyfuzzy.. whats yours? x
