07/17/2002 Entry: "La dee dah!"

MCH! IE crashed on me and deleted my last post (I was still typing it) DAMMIT..

Oh anyway I was saying earlier, not that you'd know the difference, that my classes are pretty ok. I'm enjoying my electives.. Digital Type Design is really fun.. never thought I'd be saying this, but I have discovered a hidden passion for type.

Feeling kinda put down and slightly dejected now that I've lost my long post. Oh man. This is so not fun. I was writing about the tom yam chicken I cooked two nights ago for my housemates and the spaghetti carbonara last night (didn't come from a can!) and then potato bake (from can) hehe..

I miss KL.

I'm thinking about getting a car.. saw a cute celica (second hand ofcoz) that was going for 10 grand - drool! Plenty of Skylines and FTO's here, even in Wanganui. mostly owned by Asian students (why is this not surprising?) There's one in my flat carpark too.

We're having a BBQ on Saturday night and on Friday, this band called the Black Seed is playing at The Zone (gotta find out where that is) which I might go for a while. No classes on Saturdays so that is a huge bonus.

I just got an e-mail from Rachael, who lives in Palmerston North (about one hour away) - whee. She's studying at UCOL too.. only in a different place. I'm at Wanganui UCOL and she's at Palmie UCOL. Thanks for the e-mail, Rach.

Sorry this is turning out to be a crappy, disorientated post. I have 24/7 access to the labs, so maybe I'll be back later tonight. If I don't sleep that is. Class at 3pm tomorrow, poster design class.. pretty cool.. we'll be exploring concepts and ideas behind stuff like wartime propoganda posters etc. Should turn out to be fun.

Oh, PS. I can't post comments for some reason (they don't show up) so err.. xes, I did take pictures but they're in my computer in my room and I have no internet there. Maybe I'll burn them onto a CD and bring it to the lab to upload it for you. Hehe.
