Freedom

Yesterday while I was walking home with my housemates after a trip to the food barn, a funny thought crossed my mind - I no longer miss home. Not the way I used to, you know, I still do miss my friends and family and especially my boyf, but getting thrown into a whole new life and environ, I think I've adapted pretty well. For a split second I had total freedom, heck, I'm buying my own groceries, I'm still alive after a month without my friends and boyf.. I am actually struggling to put this into words right now, but I don't miss my life as much anymore. I think it's finally sunk in - about time too.

It's so different now, I don't have a car, I'm walking everywhere because of that, and it's actually okay coz I'm getting used to it. I don't have my girlfriends, but I have new friends. I don't have my boyf here, but he's there when I need him.. and I'm living in a house with 5 other people - something I'm definately not used to at all! I love my privacy and personal space.

Anyway..

There's some annual party/celebration thing going on in Mt. Ruapehu this Saturday night and a bunch of us are thinking of going there. I've finished my work for this weekend so I'm free to go. It's probably going to be a day trip or perhaps an overnight one.. but they're closing some streets and throwing a party and.. hey, naturally I should be there. It's gonna be different though, there's snow. Try getting snow in Atmosphere. Hah.

Don't know if I mentioned this, but it's actually cheaper to call NY than KL. I called Ricky the other day for fun and was gonna play a prank on him but he sussed me out because of the way I talk. Dang! I need to adopt a New York accent when I talk to him on the phone.. I might surprise Chris too, one day. :)

I gotta catch up on my e-mails.
