Gymmy
On Saturday night we were going to go to the Saddle, but Cheryl and the rest didn't bring any ID, so we ended up at Vapour again. While dancing, the girls went up on the mini podium, and after a while I joined them. I ended up getting sandwiched by two kiwi guys, both alot bigger than me, and it was absolutely disgusting because one of them (who was behind me) was sporting a hard on - I promptly left the podium.. and all my friends were laughing their asses off at me from the table. Sigh. It wasn't very funny, especially at that time, but after two or three days, I've gotten over it. My housemates are making alot of sandwich jokes, though..
I joined a gym. I went for evaluation yesterday and ended up on a cycling machine for 20 minutes while the trainer got my fitness level down. I'm (surprisingly) average, but my heartrate is wacko. It was supposed to go down to under 100 after I finished on the bike, but it fluctuated like crazy and after 5 minutes, the guy gave up timing it. Hehe. And my body fat is average, about 3% more than it should be, and he said I needed to lose the hips. After class today I'm going back there to work out a program with the trainer. Yesterday I told him I'd probably make it to the gym three times a week, and once on Sunday for cardio, but I think I've only got time for twice a week.. and maybe not on the weekend. I am extremely lazy about serious exercise.. and I never wake up early on Sundays anyway.
The assessment went pretty well and I'm a little depressed because I'm not as fit as I'd like, but what did I expect, not having done any form of exercise, except trash my liver, for the past year or so? Pfft.
I'm gonna go swimming regularly. Since it's winter, I didn't pack any swimwear, but I found a heated pool, which is huge, and tried to buy a bikini, but Wanganui is so small, and there are not many tourists here, the store lady told me they only stock it in summer.. sigh.. so I got mom to send my bikini down, which is at this moment, probably somewhere over Australia.
I have been spending so much on printing and stuff that I am dead broke. I've got enough left in my bank account to cover my rent for the rest of the month and I don't know if I should get a job or ask mom to send me more money. I underestimated the price of art materials and printing here, and my A1 poster for Digital Type costs about NZ$87 to print out, plus mounting, that would come up to about a hundred bucks. Shit!
I've got some pictures to post, but it'll have to wait for a few days because I haven't had time to resize them. They're about 1MB each, high res.
