Scrabble!

Emptied my bank account this morning to pay my rent. I am now officially broke paying for 4 months rent at a go. Steve (my landlord) gave me a $10 discount too, because of a bet he lost a long time ago. They are organizing a BBQ for us before we leave and have invited me for dinner out next week.. there will be a slew of birthday/graduation parties and two of them will be in my house. Mad.

I bought some scrabble games on the way back from the ATM machine even though I was broke out of my love for the damn game. I spent $45 for all three, which is alright I guess, considering I'm now gonna be staying at home for the rest of my stay to play them. Damn, we girls can justify every purchase! I love that game sigh..

Then I went to 'harvest' some lavender flowers for Barrie's mom, noticed that the rose bushes are now in full bloom and cut some for my room. Our caretaker told us that those roses and our garden used to win every other award in Wanganui.. the previous owners lived for the garden apparently. It still looks good now but needs alot of work, no one takes care of it now. Anyway, the roses are bloody huge, here's a picture.. compare them to my cigarette box (couldn't think of anything more universal.. sorry) hehe.

The one really cool thing about the roses (besides their size) is the smell. The bushes are really old and the flowers has a very strong rose smell.. the ones you get from the florist don't even smell anything like a rose. I've been sniffing at them all day.

OK, I'm gonna go rip open that Double Trouble Scrabble now.. been waiting to finish this post :P
