50 things
BBC's list of 50 things to eat before you die. 1. Fresh fish 2. Lobster 3. Steak 4. Thai food 5. Chinese food 6. Ice cream 7. Pizza 8. Crab 9. Curry 10. Prawns 11. Moreton Bay Bugs 12. Cornish pasty Looks like I'm sorted after I eat some Guinea Pig and some Cream Tea (unless Cream Tea refers to tea with cream, then it's only the Guinea Pig.. why do I feel like one?). I seem to have eaten or tried everything else.. including some not on the list: camel and horse meat, some bits of monkey, turtle soup, snake (fresh blood, soup, grilled), dog stew (without knowing.. ugh)... I'm kinda adventurous when it comes to food. Someone once said if Adam and Eve were Chinese, they'd have eaten the snake instead. I so far haven't summoned the guts to eat the fried locusts and caterpillars I saw being flogged at the Beijing food markets. And no, not the Filipino baluts or penoys either. Never!

Cream Tea is a great English invention. Basically its scones, jam and clotted cream served with a pot of tea at early/mid afternoon. http://www.broadwayhouse.com/creamtea.html (PS Clotted Cream is the greatest thing ever...)

Dear Stephanie, Just came across your page while browsing. Cream tea is a lovely English Tradition. You begin by having tea(whichever choice you like) and rich fruit cake. This is followed by a three-tier tray which consist of finger sandwiches on the first tray; three varieties- cucumber (very Englisgh) , smoked salmon and egg mayo. The second tier will have pastries and the last tier has scones with sultanas in them. This is served with butter, jam and clotted(not whipped like in KL!!) cream. Finally after all of that, some places offer you a cake of your choice. That would be a full English cream tea. There are other subtler versions where its just the cucumber sandwiches and scones with clotted cream. If you ever are in London I'd suggest trying Patisserie Valerie, Richoux or cream tea at Harrods.
