Ice cold beer
I'm distracted - what a novel idea. Just today I realised how terribly focussed I've been in the past few months.. and I'm not so sure why any more. It used to be out of a need (I am also terribly obsessive at times) and today it seemed more of a necessity. It's a job, I keep telling myself, not a life. But what is life without a purpose? I think I need some time out to realign my priorities.. This whole insomnia thing isn't helping, either. First things first though.. DJ Krush is hitting Zouk tomorrow night and you'd be a fool to miss it :)

Rags and Nails
Brian Lemond's sculptures just blow me away with its [seemingly] controlled simplicity. If I had my own place, I'd definitely want one on my wall. "Rags And Nails" in particular, but hey, I'm really not fussy. Work's the reason [yet again] for the dwindling frequency of posts here. I'd post every day but I seriously doubt anything that reads "work work work stress stress stress" would hold anyones attention for more than half a tick.. not even my own. I took a break from work last night to catch the preview screening of Elektra at the mall. Free movies are cool, Jennifer Garner is cool, but the movie was soooooo badly put together.. talk about bad character development and predictability. Oh, and that little girl wasn't very convincing. I guess people who make movies based on comics expect the general audience to watch it with background information in hand. Shucks. Are there any good movies out there to watch?

Magic
I met a real life Love God last night. His name was Eros, I shit you not. The Greek God of love and sexual desire, in the form of an Italian man, made a hanky dissappear and reappear in front of my eyes in lieu of a proper introduction. Twice. And I couldn't figure out how he did it. Must be a new pick-up technique. "Do you believe in magic?" "No" "After me, you will" (Cue sly grin) Man, the things people say these days.. have to admit it was quite amusing, though.

Objects of desire
When you have something everyone wants, no one leaves you alone until they get what they want from you. Some will even go the whole nine yards: launching sneaky campaigns behind your back when you're not looking; misleading you with sugar-coated words; lying, even, if it comes to that. All that for what? Remind me never to bring milk chocolate coated double fudge Oreos to work, OK? :)

Cornish pasty Looks like I'm sorted after I eat some Guinea Pig and some Cream Tea (unless Cream Tea refers to tea with cream, then it's only the Guinea Pig.. why do I feel like one?). I seem to have eaten or tried everything else.. including some not on the list: camel and horse meat, some bits of monkey, turtle soup, snake (fresh blood, soup, grilled), dog stew (without knowing.. ugh)... I'm kinda adventurous when it comes to food. Someone once said if Adam and Eve were Chinese, they'd have eaten the snake instead. I so far haven't summoned the guts to eat the fried locusts and caterpillars I saw being flogged at the Beijing food markets. And no, not the Filipino baluts or penoys either. Never!
