Pick-up Lines and Interesting Links

One pick-up line that caught me totally unaware:

I was walking at Raffles toward the exit when this caucasian couple asked if I would take a picture for them.. I obliged. Two seconds after I was done taking their picture, another two guys approached me and asked if I could take a picture of them too. I did.

And then they introduced themselves, these two Qantas stewards, and one of them wanted to take a picture with me.. he had a digital camera, and after some 'oh c'mons' I gave in - and then 5 seconds later, one of them said to me..

"I'll e-mail this to you!"

No shit. What a way to get a girl's e-mail address. Of course I wanted that picture (Since he showed me the preview bit and I looked nice in it!) so I think I just got suckered into giving him my e-mail address. He gave me his, too - as well as his Sydney mobile number, like I'm ever gonna call him.

One more reason to get that digicam!! ^.^

On another totally unrelated topic, please check out Moodstats - it's done by the guys at Kaliber 10000 and it's really fun!!

Here's their description of Moodstats:

Moodstats is an application that allows you to quickly record & rate how your day has been in six different categories. You can also attach comments to these values to further illustrate why your moods are the way they are.

After you've entered at least three days of data into the program, Moodstats springs into action and begins to generate multi-colored graphs & statistics showing you exactly how your moods have been over the last week, month, two months, six months or year.

Hiaks. Faster go check it out.

Also, some other bits of cool interesting design-related stuff I found online:

May 1st Reboot - there should be some spanking new designs up by this time tomorrow by all participants of the reboot. Yay.

And also, a Stiff Competition is exactly what it sounds like - a condom package design competition (snigger!) - the winning design will be produced by Planned Parenthood. Anyone *up* for it? Unfortunately, the deadline is tomorrow..

I'm out for now.

Whee!

Gotta love opinionated fans.

Look what this bitch left in my guestbook.

i've been to Singapore THRICE and it rocks my good damn socks. the shopping there's TOO aweseom U're just plain jealous & you have no idea what u're talking about so shut the fuck up. blame your fucking self for losing ur mobile. u were careless yeah u god damn heard it, u were careless, clumsy, immater and stupid and you can't take personal responsibilty. i doubt you've learnt of the word, "RESPECT". get a life! please.

When I saw this during the time I posted the last post, I wasn't gonna bother responding, but.. I'm really curious as to what respect has to do with losing my mobile phone. Oh, and the fact a 14 year-old babysitter person called me stupid and immature (it's spelt as 'immater' in that bit above..)

Speaking of spelling, you know 8 out of 10 times people diss each other and laugh about their spelling? Nevermind. I don't want to say anymore.. I can just go on and on and on..

HAHAHAHA.

OK.

Anyways, guess what? I'm back!!

So I got a ticket yesterday and left at 7pm. Bron picked me up and took me home. I was so tired I just about collapsed on him.. so anyway, I'm technically back. I will be officially back on Wednesday. Although Singapore was ok, I feel.. wierd - it's just good to be back. Eleana will be back today and the rest will be back on Thursday.

What did I miss? Other than the coronation of our new King, and apparently some fireworks which Potatoe managed to take some pics of. And I got so many blogs to catch up on. Hiaks.

I also wonder if Tiff is back yet. Grr. Oh well, I suppose I could call her tonight and check.

Wish I had a webcam now so I can show you my new Kubrick toy. BBL.

No shit

No shit, my website + Greymatter itself looks completely different on Mac's Netscape. It's 10:30 in the morning on a Sunday and I'm sitting here at Topshop using one of their free internet Macs.. I don't think I've ever seen an internet cafe during my time here, and anyway with my current financial situation I don't think I can afford to pay to use the internet. Hehe.

Whoa. Lemme tell you, the conference is amazing.

But first, lemme tell you about the amazing shopping Delphine took me to - it's supposed to only be for airport staff, and only for two days, so I used Fay's pass to get in with Delphine coz Fay was working and needed sleep.

Does DFS mean anything to you? DFS plus 80%?

I bought this cute Fendi bag for SD$156, it was originally SD$520 duty free, and I think about SD$600 at the shops. Muahahahha. I also bought some other stuff, including an Anna Sui wallet for SD$15 and a Christian Dior scarf for mom, SD$13 after the 90% discount on it.

I think the Fendi bag might have taken my mind off my handphone for abit, which is good. I tend to dwell too much on things like that and stress myself out for no reason.

Oh yes, conference.

Day one, really good, although I missed Sagmeister's talk because I was late running from the airport (Sale, remember?) But I caught everything else. Michael from Kaliber 10000 is amazingly gorgeous, I never knew what him and Token looked like even though I've been following their site for ages and ages and it was amazing just to be able to put faces to all those names.

Neville Brody gave a good but slightly monotonous speech, Devilrobots were so funny, because they were Jap and they took an english crash course for 3 months before coming down here and were making silly jokes. Josh Davis was the most entertaining, and the round table session on the second day was good, I was so tired but I'm glad I stayed for it. Me and the girls got to meet all of them, and..

..the post party at Zouk was even more amazing. Sanky from Digit London gave me his e-mail, I got bought some drinks, spoke to Michael for awhile, found out that it's his first time in Asia and he likes Asian girls. And where he's staying. And I know he's not doing anything tomorrow, hiaks. If I was single, I would meet up with him today, but I'm not so.. anyway, did I mention he is absolutely gorgeous??

YUM.

I <3 Michael.

At 11 to midnight, drinks were 1 for 1, so we bought about 20 shots of something and got 20 free, basically I drank quite abit, including some Tequila Pops and Long Island Tea, and a beer. Ugh, beer. Don't like beer, but liked the cute designer that offered it to me. Sigh, things we girls do sometimes.

Was so tired, went back to the hotel and crashed.

Am so damn broke, I think I have about SD$60 left till Thursday. Don't you dare ask me where the $ went, I came down here with quite abit, but I went shopping, see.

Shopping = Evil. Shopping + Sale = Evil Evil.

But we girls love it anyway.

I took a bunch of pics (or rather, Lynn did, since I have no camera..) that'll be posted as soon as they get back and get the film developed. Prolly sometime next week..? I also got a bunch of autographs.

Alright, don't want to hang out here too long, since I'm not buying anything from Topshop, so I better go.

Maybe I'll be back before Thursday, see you then.

Sigh

Singapore is shit.

I lost my handphone today - some ass stole it from my bag, and even I can't figure out how he did it, because it was early in the morning and not many people were around.. and definately no one bumped into me or anything.. sigh.. so now I can't really be contacted unless.. sigh, I dunno. I am extremely upset, and I don't even have the bloody mood to shop.

The trip down was okay, customs didn't check my bag - and we got through without a glitch. Am considering coming back on Monday instead of Thursday now, I think dad's not too happy about me losing my phone.

Not to mention I just lost my car road tax and sunglasses less than a week ago.

SIGH.

I am still insisting, Singapore sucks.

I have to go, blogging from Fay's laptop at her place. Cya later.

Spooks

The funniest thing I've heard in ages.

Apparently the janitor in my old college saw a ghost of a student who died in an accident near my college sitting in the auditorium. She informed my principle and they got people to 'exorcize' her spirit from my college.

Apparently, the exorcist guy said she (the ghost) is gonna come back as a mouse.

Now there are notes stuck all over the college (at mouse eye level) saying that the college will be closed for renovation and mouse, would you please leave?

HAHAHAHA.

Idiots.

Statements

These words sound nice for no apparent reason - filet mignon, cerise, diversity.. blanc, casa, chagrin, Absolute. Absolute, snog.

Perhaps.

I finally wrote something in my real life journal after almost a month of absense. I like how it's there when I need it and out of sight when I don't. With every word the frustrations and irritance of the past few weeks seem to ebb away and with each sentence it feels like a door is closed. It's cool like that.

I hate drama. Intellectual drama is alright by me, but who the heck knows what intellectual drama is anyway?

This blog serves no real purpose except to rant about things impersonal, sometimes personal. It reflects that part of me that I care to share and talk about, an emotional outlet, but along the way things tend to get left out and words unspoken.

If you know me personally you might think I am different than how I portray myself online and offline, yet there a times when you will find me a fusion of both worlds.

Reflection. It's not always the same word, things that reflect me are often unseen by strangers.

I am not perfect and will never claim to be. Perfection is a state I would never aspire to be. Perfection is boring, expected, predictable. I would so much more rather be unexpected.

Expectations play a big part in our lives and shape the way we are. I hate living up to people's expectations because I probably don't see myself the way you see me.

Family will tend to expect you to be someone you not always are. Friends will more likely accept you the way you are and not expect too much of you. It's just a big part of life.. that unspoken rule, that no matter what you do, someone will always expect more.

Strangers, those are a unique race which I can never comprehend. I hate how some people will think I am dumb, just because I don't say much, just because I never voluntarily give my opinions to people I've just met, just because I keep to myself. Lack of opinions are not always an indication that anyone is dumb, but not everyone knows that. With friends, however, I talk too much and give too many opinions. They're cool with that.

My ideal world would be a place where no one expects anything of me but myself.

Life is something we all have to deal with. Life is never the same looked at twice. At first glance, everything is in place.. and then you turn around and look again, things are all upside down and messed. It is not meant to be taken too seriously or lightly, unfortunately but a few will realize that.

It's completely stupid how people will stereotype everyone else. I do sometimes, and it's not something I am proud of. It's a vicious thing, stereotyping. People tend to put me in the 'dumb blonde, easy target' category, and I tend to put that kind of people in the 'not very perceptive, dirty minded shithead' category.

If you think about that after awhile, it'll become very funny.

My life is a comedy of errors, but I like it the way it is.

Intelligence can never be measured merely by comparing exam results. True intelligence is so much more than that. Did anyone get this?

Enough.

I wrote (almost) all that last night in a feeble attempt to write a post, but while surfing a site and absentmindedly trying to do a screencap, I hit the power button on my keyboard and my PC shut down.

I didn't bother turning it back on like I normally would, instead I just went to sleep in a wave of resignment.

Last night was cool. I had buttercream crabs in Tropicana, something I consider a real treat. Apart from running arould half of Klang Valley like a madwoman, I also had time to stop by dad's office to have lunch with him. I had a meatball sub, which was fantastic. I haven't had lunch with dad for ages. He's always been working outstation, so no chance of me driving halfway up the peninsula just to have lunch with him.

I miss dad. Things were always so much more different for me as a kid, because dad wasn't so busy back then and we always hung out.

I also had a drink at Starbucks with my girlfriends, Yen Li made is tiramisu, which was really nice. Elaine was about 3 hours late, which is no longer a big deal.. we all need to take a crash course in time management, all of us are never on time anymore. it's just another thing to laugh about.

They took my sunnies, shit.

Reasons why I haven't updated:
1. I was too busy
2. I am tired
3. My car got broken into

A shitty ending to a reasonably pleasant weekend. The flea markets was fun - I met a couple of you guys who decided to drop by and say hi. Kikco came and picked up his prize. Merv and Azuan decided to pop by and kacau me (hehe) and Pearly dropped by as well. The whole day was kinda boring, but business picked up later in the afternoon and I did okay. I don't know if anyone else came by - hehe.

OK.

Needless to say I was dead dog tired the whole of Saturday due to not getting enough sleep the previous night. Yeah I know, shouldn't have gone out to Atmosphere on Friday night. Pfft. Anyway did you guys hear about the drug raid at Emporium about 2:30 am on Friday night? Good thing I wasn't around. I have so far managed to go through about 5 year's worth of clubbing without having to experience a raid. Touch wood. Yes, you. Anyway, they brought dogs and reporters and no one was allowed out without doing a urine test.

Hiaks.

Not that I've ever touched that shit.

Anyway, Azuan told me that he's leaving KL on May 3rd for a holiday. I'm coming back from Singapore May 2nd, and he's leaving the day after, and the day after that on the 4th, I think Tiff'll be back here. Urgh urgh. And he's coming back sometime in July (I think?) after I leave.

Blah you, Az.

Saturday night, went for Wei Lynn's birthday and then to Viva/Chill for about 20 mins. About to colapse from exhaustation, so Bron drove us back to his place. I KO-ed till the morning.

Got woken up because Bron's brother noticed my car side window has been smashed. They took nothing but my road tax (which has been just recently renewed like a week ago) and my Gucci sunnies from my glove compartment. They left everything else alone. Fuckers.

At least they didn't touch my MAC stuff. Pfft.

So today I spent most of the day trying to get sleep, making a police report, fixing my window and basically trying not to get too pissed off. Replacing my side window cost me 150 bucks.. and I'm lucky enough to find a place that's open and able to fix it on a Sunday.

Because of my tint, the poor bastards had to hit the window twice before it gave way. At least now I know those guys who tinted my car were not bullshitting me when they said it can take up to a certain amount of force/whatever before it breaks - and my tint didn't break, the glass shattered so it just kinda collapsed in one whole wonky piece.

DAMMIT, I AM SO PISSED OFF.

They took my sunglassess!!! GRRRR!!!

I'll be extremely busy tomorrow and Tuesday, and will be leaving for Singapore on Wednesday morning. Die die. Got to go kautim my visa somemore, plus got to go JPJ and fix my fan belt coz it's making funny noises.

@#$%^#$@!!!!

KIKCO!!!! <3!

*Drumroll* As per results it clearly shows the winner is Kikco! So Kikco, e-mail me and let me know where to send it to (or if you want it in a different color)

Whee!

Thank you all for being a part of this. Fun wasn't it??

End of contest = end of excitement. :( *sob*

Sorry this is a wee bit late, I've been so busy the whole day making sure I've got everything covered for tomorrow. I dropped by Atmosphere for a little while to see some friends, but I've absolutely gotta sleep now coz I have to wake up early.

For those of you who will be around Bangsar tomorrow (Saturday) - drop by at BSC's Flea Markets. I will be there selling my hobby (Swarovski Jewelry) - come say hi.

Will write a longer post tomorrow. G'nite!

PS. Anyone going to Glenmarie's rave tomorrow night?

I scored 16 on this boob quiz! Hope you men do better, LOL. Surfed that site somemore and am making up another wish list.. hiaks. That'll be up soon.

Swarovski rocks!

Posted by Stephanie, 04:28 PM

Kinda like a continuation but..

I called up Irene in Melbourne on my mobile, shit - now I'm gonna have to deal with dad when he sees the bill! Hehe. Nice speaking to her again! I sooo miss my friends. Kinda wish I was headed to Melbourne, but unfortunately the intakes in Feb 2003, and I've got a term extra to do there. Bleargh.

Jamie's got a nice new layout up. I missed it when she put it up a couple of days ago.. been so busy with my jewelry, plane tickets and other mundane stuff that I haven't been visiting some blogs. In a way it's good that Chris, Benjamin and Pearly are not blogging as often as they used to so I'm not missing out much on all the excitement. But I wish they'd blog more, hiaks. Ben and Chris seem to be MIA.

Tomorrow I shall go for lunch then head to One Utama to pamper myself with a free facial at the Shiseido counter. I haven't been to a facial in 4 years!! I also get a free body massage along with the facial.. heh. Mom's a huge Shiseido fan, so they give her alot of these vouchers, most of them go to waste because we're both too busy to go for them. I think I'll take a break tomorrow.

While putzing around at home earlier today I thought of the funniest thing. I'm making little collars for my WWF toys. Mwahahhaa.

Err. Better be zzz-ing now. Ciao!

A Daily.

Whee. I've made another ton of jewelry today - I can't feel my fingers. Typing this is a really wierd experience for me because the keyboard feels funny. I got superglue all over my fingers. Sigh. It's like an extra layer of skin, you know? Bet you've had superglue on your hands before. I usually scrape it off with a blade (hehe) but I'm too lazy to be bothered this time round.

Things are looking good for me. In another couple of days I'll have my student visa. My ticket is still tentatively confirmed on the 19th of June. I'm stopping over in Brisbane before heading to NZ because mom and grandma wants to see my uncle. It's good because I'll be able to hang out with Jin and Roy, both of them are staying in Brisbane now.. and it's bad because I want to go to Melbourne to see Sharon and Irene, both of them will kill me when they find out I'm headed to NZ. I haven't told them, don't know if they read my blog regularly. I haven't gotten any colorful e-mails from either of them yet, phew.

Good news is, since I'm stopping over in Brisbane before I head to NZ, and I'm buying a return ticket, I'll have to stop by somewhere in Australia before heading back to KL. Since I've got a one year open ticket, I can stop by Sydney or Melbourne for a couple of days/weeks before coming home. Good thing. Sydney in summer (Dec) is brilliant, I'll probably go there. Heh.

And, I've finally gotten my..?

Shit. I just lost my train of thought. Be back later.

Wanganui

Busy but boring day. Sent Bron's sister off at KLIA this evening.. she's going to Auckland. Tried out McDonald's new burger, the deluxe McChicken thingie - it was pretty good. Had a bit of bad luck today right after I bought some silver findings for my jewelry - I dropped them somewhere, so it's lost for good. Sigh.

Been busy checking out Uni info/etc - am not very excited about Wanganui but am consoling myself because I'll only be there for 5 months before I come back in December. I finish in June 2003. Sigh. The place has only ONE cinema with 3 theatres. At least the movies are not 6 months late. Pfft.

I am so dead. I am going to die of boredom there. Help!

Only good thing I can see is that I'll be too busy with school to worry about having fun - I guess the lack of distraction is good.

The biggest

I don't check my hotmail account for ONE day and my Junk mail folder has 223 mails in it so don't e-mail me at my hotmail account.. it's such a drag to check it. Damn spam. Unfortunately, I've had that account for close to 5 years, so some older friends to drop me a line or two on occasions, so I can't delete the account.

Today I went out and bought the biggest suitcase in the world. It really is! It's a new Delsey one - and the label on the side claims it's the biggest in the world. Nice storm blue suitcase. Cost me RM 600 - it better last me forever and a day! It's so big it wouldn't fit into the boot of my car, and when my dad saw it he asked if I was planning to pack my car along with me when I go to NZ.

I would if I could but I can't so I won't.

Anyway, after buying my luggage, I went for dinner at Victoria Station - Terence C's birthday.. I had a fantastic Garlic Steak Parisienne - it was almost raw. Yum. I am so full now, my butt is probably a size bigger, too. Blek.

And, tomorrow I go hunting for a huge-ass winter jacket/parka/anorak thingie. I saw some today, they were really ugly. If I'm gonna spend RM 300 on something, it may as well look good. I'm not even gone yet, but I'm already spending so much (sigh).. I've also paid up my fees, which was a bomb. Bet it's cheaper than Canada though.

I gotta get some sleep. My cousin Mark came down for a visit yesterday and I spent most of today entertaining him. TV = boring.

Updates

Past two days have been crazy.

I thoroughly enjoyed Friday night at Atmosphere, music was fab, I danced till my toes hurt, and they're still hurting. I even wore trainers for once in anticipation of good music and all the dancing, but I still somehow managed to hurt my toes. Urgh. Met Jamie and Shirley there, didn't know they were coming so it was a nice surprise. Good turnout that night, most of my friends were present except for my girlfriends, they are having their final weeks in college - bet they're very busy, too. I went to Emporium for a short while, Mario Piu was playing there, but the music was too hardcore for my taste.

The laser lights at Atmosphere was funky. I wish they'd put those up more often, and I also realized - how come the laser lights are only ever in green? Blue would be oh so cool.

I had another Flaming with Alex and his friend. Heh. I only had one though. Party was good, let's do it again sometime.

Saturday night marks my official one year with Bronson - we went out for a superb dinner at Bangkok Jam before watching Resident Evil. He gave me another two WWF toys (whee!) so now I have a pair of baby tigers and a pair of baby cheetahs. Love them to bits! They are really the cutest things.

Resident Evil, what can I say? The movie was very nicely done, Bron says it'll look a whole lot better if I've played the game (he has) - Patrick told me it was worth watching and it is. Scared the hell out of me though, and the beginning didn't really make much sense till later in the movie. Milla Jovovich is a babe. Michelle Rodriguez? I think she looked alot better in The Fast and the Furious, and of course being next to the delectable Vin Diesel helps as well.. (heh!) Vin Diesel = yum.

It's official, I'll be leaving Malaysia mid-June to continue my studies in New Zealand. I've been accepted into the final year, so I'm off. Semester starts in July. Haven't told alot of my friends yet though, figured if they read this site they'll find out from me here.. will let you guys know when I see you? I have been extremely busy for the past few days. This blog will still remain, my contract with my host ends in December, but I will be back by then for summer hols to renew it. I'm not going very far online.

Another news, this Saturday (20th April) I will be selling my handmade Swarovski crystal jewelry at Bangsar Shopping Centre's Flea Market. I have a stall there. Thing starts at 9 am - 6 pm. Come say hi if you're in the vicinity (and maybe buy some stuff, too.. hiaks!)

Have fun voting, sorry it took me so long.

Chees-eh!

Meh = tired. I should stop typing the extra 'h' at the end of every other word eh? Hehe.

Lemme recap, Twelve SI's grand launch thingie was.. umm, OK. We got there in time for the free booze - mainly bottled beer and sucky (really really sucky) cheap liquor mixed with the usual coke and such. I SWEAR ATMOSPHERE HAS THE WORST DRINKS!! If you've been reading my site you will remember my Margharita Mishap and my Flaming Disaster. So anyway, we had a go at the finger food and spent loads of time outside doing the usual social yadda - I saw plenty of familiar faces there. Among some, my ex-agency owner Bernard Anthony, Andy (toady!) and a relatively bitchy looking (and slighty chubby now) Ning Baizura. She's blah.

There were a bunch of almost naked male body builders showcasing their brawn (You know what they say about men with all brawn...) and this transvestie with a huge snake walking around. There were more transvesties (I know they're transvesTITES, really..) doing this fashion show up on the balcony where Rush used to be (now the lounge is called Bliss, a rather nice name actually..) - I was pretty sure they were transvesties anyway, God forbid Malaysian fashion models look like THAT. Anyway, the err.. opening ceremony was funny.

Local male model Eric (as seen in Carlsberg and FHM) lead the procession donning a huge pair of wings (I suppose he's supposed to be an angel of sorts?) and more people, more people then some chick with balloon tits riding a horse rode by.. then tiny people who were supposed to be pixies or fairies or something ended the parade. Umm. Pretty embarassing for the pair of tits on the horse, everyone was yelling lewd comments on her balloons - always happens when there is free booze around. Hiaks! Anyway, after this weird show, they opened the doors to Atmosphere.

I'd say.. Emporium has nothing to worry about. Even at the launching, the place was only about 70% full? Maybe this will change, I dunno. Looking forward to Cream tomorrow night though, although I've never really heard much about Smokin' Jo - the DJ that'll be playing tomorrow night. Entrance is RM 40, if you're interested.

Anyway, Pearly, you didn't miss much.

Perhaps my last entry for the contest? Thanks, Le Gordo. No URL provided.. :( One more day till voting fun begins!

Nget nget.

Not so random

I just realized I've got the rest of my week sorted out.

Thursday - Buy stuff. Official launch of Atmosphere. Sort out my certs, etc.
Friday - Meeting with AUT @ Renaissance. Cream (Smokin' Jo) @ Atmosphere.
Saturday - 1 year Anni with Bron. Phil K @ Backroom. Checking out BSC's Flea Market.
Sunday - Mont Kiara Flea Markets.

Sometime in between all that I've gotta remember to meet up with Pearly and Jamie before Pearly leaves next week. Don't ask me why I'm gonna be out 3 nights in a row. Being unemployed does have its perks.

I'm still up because I've just finished writing, cleaning and submitting my review for DeviantMAG. I missed Saturday's deadline because I was just too busy, and my Office crashed on me. In the midst of setting up my new project and hanging out with Bron I completely missed the deadline. Oops.

I need to prioritize.

I also need to stop procrastinating! Grr.

Most of all I think I need sleep.

I made a ton of jewelry today. I swear by the end of this week I'm gonna be so sick of looking at the crystals (Yeah, right..) Hehe. Everyone's been blogging like mad lately and I have a couple of day's worth of blogs to catch up on. As for me, I've just been busy.

I've been spending all my free time working on a new project. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll see something out of it. If you're curious, stick around and you'll find out as soon as I'm ready to spill.

Just took another test.

Your view on yourself
You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

The type of girl/boyfriend you are looking for.
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship.
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love.
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education.
You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.

The right job for you.
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

How do you view success?
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Do not give up when you have not even started yet! Be courageous!

What are you most afraid of?
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self?
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Oh gee, I'd say it's 70% true. Then again, nothing is 100% these days.

On (some of) the people I've met in my life, things and random observations.

He so often visits me in my dreams, when my mind is unconscious and my soul is at rest. Time has done nothing to dim the memories of the both of us, together, forbidden. It's been so long now, so long that he probably has forgotten me by now. Time may be a healer, but it also fades memories. Distance too, distance makes us forget things. There was a time when there wasn't an hour that he did not cross my mind. And now, it's been so long. I wonder.

A show on TV sparked the memory that was once so bright - time has done so much, I've almost forgotten him. I gave him only a fleeting thought and a prayer, but he responded. Why?

---

I remember his eyes, so kind and reassuring. I remember his words, so prominent, seared in my mind and sealed forever. We are sensitive people, he told me. That I am. And I must be patient. That I am, too.

---

Of you. We are friends, and foes. Bound together by mutual love and hate. I question fate, why did we meet? Is there a purpose to both our existences, together? You and I, we are different. Envy binds us, jealousy divides us, and yet somehow, friendship is the only thing we can agree upon.

---

I did not have a good impression on him when we first met, I had a great impression, one that left me aspiring to be a little more like him. Over time, I know now that I can rely on him to be a friend to me. He listens when I need to talk, he talks when I can't talk anymore, and most importantly, he understands me. You know how sometimes people change over time? We have that kind of friendship that doesn't change, no matter how long or how far apart we are, and I appreciate that. I may have wanted more, you made me want more, but you've also made me realize that 'more' is what I have now, and anything else is just less. To know you is to love you, and I do.

---

I've known you for so long now, we've been friends for so long that if someone were to ask me to write a list of people I thought knew me somewhat, you'd be on top of that list. I thank you, friend, for words unsaid and the things you do and I don't.

---

I wonder sometimes if it's ever possible for him to be out of my life. He comes and goes, I sit and wonder. Fate has been good to us, if only for awhile, and love has torn us apart. I look around, and see things that remind me of him. I no longer dwell, that is the past. I hope he no longer does, too.

---

He offered me a ride when I didn't have one. This is a story of two strangers that crossed paths one night, if only for the duration of a ride. I'd have liked to thank him for his generosity, but I know he wanted more. I don't think of him anymore, but I remember what he did. Dad once told me never to forget kindness. I won't, stranger, I just hope you forget me.

---

Mishka. I remember our 6 am rendezvous, a beautiful place to behold the sunrise. He promised me it was the best view I'd ever get. It was. I remember every moment as if it was yesterday, a sight so lovely is not easily forgotten. You, Mr. Sunrise, I miss our talks. Not that we had the chance to have that many. Time as always is a limiting factor in alot of things in my life. Our friendship was limited only by the time I had and the language we spoke.

--

His words are always an inpiration to me. That, or a kick in the ass asking me to face reality. He will always be somehow, a part of my life. I love him most of all, for accepting me the way I am.

Funkeh Monkeh

Today I got totally bedazzled by the amount of Swarovski crystals I saw. Umm, yummeh. If there's one other thing that turns meh on, I'd have to say it's those tiny little beads of desireh. I am typing funneh.

Feeling a tad wonkeh today.

Finished the book Patrick bought me. It's really good - The Player of Games by Iain Banks - the whole concept of the future and the 'Culture' is immensely fascinating and intriguing. I know a sci-fi is good when it makes me wanna go live there. I do. And I wanna play games, and fly for 2 years through ultraspace to play the ultimate game. I wanna have a drone that'll follow me around, and I like the concept of money not existing. Jernau Morat Gurgeh. I'd imagine he's a yummeh hero. I'm talking about the story, so if you haven't read it, you probably won't know what I'm talking about.

Went for my 'routine' checkup at the hospital again today. My doc is the best. He prescribed a holiday for me! He thinks stress is what's causing my palpitations, so (in his words) 'You should take a holiday!' And I will be, soon. I'm going to Singapore at the end of the month. When I told him that, he said 'There are alot of nice wine bars in Singapore, but don't drink too much!' Gotta love that guy. I've never met a cooler Doc/Professor in my life. Too bad he's married.. (snigger!)

Spent my whole day with mom, she's on leave today, so we decided to romp around in the city. Bron met us at the hospital and I followed him from there. On another totally unrelated thought, I am putting on more weight - perhaps I should watch what I eat more. Dammit.

I wonder what this week will bring.

Atmospheric

Feels like I've been away for awhile, don't know why.

Saturday night was mad. Bron and me went to Atmosphere again to check it out - we haven't been clubbing together for sometime now, so we decided to go. Met Alex and Jeff there. Also met 5 Flaming Lambourghinis and a Beer. Umm. The drinks in Atmosphere are kinda sucky. The service is way slow (and the Margharita.. urk..) and my first Flaming - well, the idiot waiter guy messed it up. He forgot to pour the Blue Buracao/Cream after he flamed the Sambuca - and my straw melted waiting for him to pour the damned thing in. He didn't. So he had to get me another one. And it's cheap, too. RM 15 for one. I think Empo sells it for RM 28? Not sure.

Got somemore invites from Chandra for the launch. Pearly, if you're interested, let me know.

Anyway, I was still standing (and dancing) at the end of the night. We left at 2:30 am, because I was dead dog tired. Good thing, too. Any more drinks and I probably would've been plastered. Yikes.

Sunday was good. I went to the flea markets and had alot of fun. Felt a little funny the whole day though - I think I have a stomach bug or something. Had Korean BBQ for dinner then Bron came over to fix my new DVD player. I've finally got one, whee.

Umm, thats about it -- my weekend in black and white. I have a huge bruise on my left knee from an accident with a table which I have to go nurse now.

More entries!

Nael sent me these VERY CUTE fansigns! OMG. And he says he can't draw. Right.

Today was good. I went for lunch with Roy/Yennie then headed to Wei Lynn's place to pass her $ for my ticket to Singapore, and just as I was about to head home, Elaine called me. I met up with her at Genki Sushi, had some salmon before deciding to window shop. It was nice catching up with her. We both bought tops from Topshop in Pyramid and looked at a whole bunch of other stuff. Went to Bron's for dinner after that, then went home to change before heading out.

Heard Alex Graham live at Atmosphere by chance. I didn't know he was gonna be playing in town, especially not tonight. He's pretty good, very good compared to the shit I heard at Atmosphere the last time I was there. Had another shitty Margarita, don't know why I put myself through it, since the last one I ordered was shit, too. Must remember not to order anymore shit Margaritas from Atmosphere till they come up with something better.

I got 8 invites to next Thursday's launch of Atmosphere. Whee. I could sound a little more excited but I'm not.

I have a ton of mail to reply to and a ton of mail to send out. Help! Sorry to those whom I haven't replied (Michael, Daniel, Lisa, Sharon, Irene... etc.)

Thanks for the plug. Much appreciated :)

I know what you're thinking..

Whee, a super cute entry from kikco! (If you have a URL, I'll link you!) MEOWR!!

I love kitties. They're so darned cute. When I go abroad to study, I'm definately gonna get one for myself! I can't right now because my parents won't let me - and I have no time to take care of it because I'm always out.

Hehe.

Met up with Roy and Yennie for late lunch today in Megamall. Decided to go to All Stars because (according to Roy) it's the only place you can smoke indoors in air conditioning. Must make it a point to remember that if I ever open a restaurant/cafe - haha. Roy ordered this sub that came with the word 'All Star' written on it in mayo. I almost died laughing. I had a beer. Afternoon beers, oh joy. Didn't eat because I already had lunch (more salmon today!) I think I'm spoiling myself. I had fantastic Thai food yesterday evening for dinner, too.

Too lazy to do anything today. Bron forgot to wake me up, so I forgot I was supposed to go to college to meet Wei Lynn. Argh.

Roy and them are headed to Spiral tonight, probably a little too late for me to join them, not that I feel like it anyway. I think I've used up my 'party quota' for the year - I don't even indulge in my vodka cravings anymore (and then again, not like I have cravings anymore either..) Might go out tomorrow night, though, if just to reacquaint myself with the whole concept of partying again. I need to find a way to enjoy myself without being alcohol induced, and of course, without relying on any stimulants or drugs. Not easy.

Rain rain, leave me the hell alone.

Whee! Looks like LuC isn't gonna win automatically because I've gotten my third entry so far from Wei Jin!

Autofocuses are fuzzy? :) Nice! Thanks!

Today I went to the city to run my errands and when I was waiting for the elevators at Citibank, I saw a ghost. Not an actual one.. but when the doors opened, the first person I saw was this really tall guy standing at the back. He looked exactly like a friend of mine, Eric. I could've sworn it was him, so I was staring at him and wondering why he didn't say hi to me or anything.. he caught me staring and stared back for all of the 8 seconds it took for him to talk out of the elevator and for me to walk in. He turned back as he walked out and smiled at me.

I thought it was really wierd. I used to date Eric for a while a couple of years back, we lost touch until sometime in Dec last year where I bumped into him at a club.. he was away studying in UK for sometime. Anyway, we were old news. He did give me his number when I met him, so I called him and left a voice message.

It turned out it wasn't Eric I saw. He returned my call late evening.

I'm feeling a tad funny now because (oh, man!) that guy in the elevator must have thought I had the hots for him or something because I was staring for the longest time. No wonder he turned back and gave me that little smile! :x

Later, I was at Jln Silang looking at some stuff at this shop, and I was in there so long that I didn't notice it started raining very heavily. I waited about 15 minutes for the rain to slow, till about 5 pm. And at 5 pm, you HAVE to get out of that area. So while running back to my car which was parked near Bangkok Bank, I was totally and thoroughly drenched. I would've brought my umbrella out, but it was so sunny.

I hate unpredicted rainy spells.

Then, when Bron got back from work, he surprised me with not one but three really really cute stuffed animals! They're from the WWF Plush collection, and I got a tiger, a cheetah (see cam!) and a baby panther. They're so damn adorable!! Hehe. I named the tiger Diego and the panther Mika. The cheetah has no name yet.

Bronson = <3 <3 <3!!

We watched Ice Age at 9 pm (Hence the tiger's new name, Diego.) and it was so ridiculously funny. You have to watch it. It always amazes me when they animate cats and pull it off. It's hard to animate a cat because they're so.. graceful. The way they skulk and they way they walk.. I love to watch cats.

Hehe. What a fun day.

Computer stuff

Entry from Joe (feat. Stan Lee):

He's such a cute little bugger. I wonder if he's related to cute bugger Joe. Hmms.

Went to the hospital with Bron today to get his stitches removed. Had a quick breakfast in the cafeteria in the hospital.. food was OK, I expected it to suck. Then we went to Imbi Plaza to fix his computer.. and Bron bought a 40GB HD/Seagate Barra 7200rpm for RM 299, as well as more RAM for his PC. I am so jealous, hehe.. I wanna get a new HD too, my 20GB is running out of space, seeing as to how some of my photoshop files are 100+MB and I have about 4GB of mp3s. Not alot, if you compare to Tiff's mp3 collection.

Had lunch in Sungai Wang, walked around abit in the IT center before heading back. Joanne's actual birthday today, so we went to Loganhaus for dinner. I had Turkey au Gratin, which was lovely (all that cheese! yum!) and then Bron sent me back.

Spent most of the afternoon installing/partitioning his HD and installed Win ME on his PC. I still think Win 2000 is better/more stable, but he has to upgrade his processor before upgrading the OS. I'm thinking of upgrading my processor/mboard then installing Win XP, but I'm too lazy right now to back everything up and format my C:\ because I hate moving files around when things are running OK, and my Win 2000 is running really smoothly now.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Will be running errands for mom the whole day tomorrow. Yay, me.

Ribena :P

Apart from feeling laggy and 'out of fuel' I've also gotten my ribena. Drat. In the midst of my bouts of PMS-inspired tantrums and geram-ness, I completely forgot some important things I had to do today. Drat.

Weeeell, I could probably push it till tomorrow.. (Procrastinator!) It wasn't that important anyway.

Mom called me at 10pm when I was at Bron's to tell me to be real careful because the street light were blown or something, and it's dangerous for me to come home late. Luckily I ignored her because when I got back, I noticed only ONE street light wasn't lit. Sheesh. And I thought my whole housing area was blacked out or something.

I walked in the door to see Ralph Schumacher right on the tail of his older brother Michael, having completed all but 5 laps of the Sao Paulo GP. Somehow I wasn't too surprised to see Michael take the race; Ralph's time will come. Malaysian Alex Yoong finished the race, in last place (13th) - at least he finished it.

BMW leading the constructor's. Very interesting. Almost makes me want to follow the races again.. almost!

I have a really painful migraine-like headache now. Grr.

Conversations with a blog.

Hi blog.

I'm back from a short (and probably unnoticed) hiatus. Did you miss me, blog?

Let me tell you what I did. On Saturday night, I went for Joanne's birthday dinner at TGIF. It was fun, but you probably wouldn't have enjoyed it because you're a blog. You and I, we're different. I bite, you byte. You wouldn't have been able to byte my Loaded Potato Skins that I had that night. See? You didn't miss much. I'd also tell you how nice their Ultimate Strawberry Margharita was, but you probably wouldn't be interested.

I went back early that night, blog, but I didn't feel like posting anything.

Damn, blog. I think I've lost all inspiration for life. (Giggles) I think I'll stop talking to you now, since YOU seem to be ignoring me. Or perhaps it's because you can't actually talk back.

Bye BLOG. Hello, world.

First entry to win the necklace, from LuC. AF = Alex Ferguson/Absolutely Fuzzy. Nice pun. Heh.

So if no one else sends me entries, the necklace will go to LuC, as promised. If there are more entries, there'll be a voting sesh.

As for me, the past two days, I've been secretly stocking up on Swarovski crystal beads. I am thoroughly fascinated by those damned glittering gems, and I'm hoarding them like the world is gonna end tomorrow or something. God help me.

And I wish I had an interesting anecdote to tell you, or a joke to which I've forgotten the punchline to, to amuse you, but I don't. I suck. I need a life, don't I? Good thing I have the IdN conference to look forward to. Too much free time on your hands can be a real pain sometimes. I'm running out of ideas on how to fill up my time. Really. I think I've just hit an all time low. I'm not depressed or anything, just bored to death.

I'm starting to check my hotmail account more regularly now, ever since I got TWO e-mails from two very interesting people/artists in two weeks. Strange coincidence, since I only ever get junk mail. About 50 a day. Maybe more. Bloody idiots. And I'm amazed as to how many people forward e-mails that are obviously hoaxes. Bloody idiots. BLOODY IDIOTS!!

Dinner today was at an all you can eat Korean BBQ place near my house. I stuffed my face, in case you wanted to know. This post is shit. I'm gonna end it's misery now.

WIN IT! (Notice)

This post will stay on top, regular posts appear below this.

WIN THIS!

What is it? It's a handmade Swarovski crystal ball pendant, approx. 1.2 cm diameter, and it's free!

Just send me any sort of fansign, and on April 13th, I'll have an open voting for the quirkiest/cutest one and I'll send it over to you (even if you live in Afghanistan!) Read More..
