Louboutin knows best

Classic black stilettos are the shoe closet equivalent of the LBD, yet the perfect pair is so hard to find! I’ve been on the lookout for a replacement pair ever since the one pair I had fell apart a year ago..

My requirements are:
1. Under 4 inches so I can wear them all day
2. Leather, well made
3. Deep vamp for some toe cleavage
4. Pointed toe, but not overly sharp
5. Not too expensive so I can buy two, in case the first one falls apart :)

I haven’t really come across many that fit the bill. Maybe I’m too particular :) Of course I wouldn’t say no to these 85mm Pigalle Christian Louboutin shoes above.. they are perfect in every way, except I can’t buy two!

What do you look for in a classic black shoe? Do you prefer flats, heels or wedges?

    my fave pair of LBP is … you will never guess it … prada (and a ratty pair of armani)! they’re really comfy. unfortunately, CL and choos don’t agree with my feet :'( for daily wear for work - my staple pumps are mostly from enzo angiolini. sergio rossi is nice too. i’m more of an almond-toe kinda girl :)

    Those Louboutins are amazing, and such a classic! Love them! But yes they are too expensive to buy 2 pairs, and I’ve heard that they are not so comfortable to wear them all day long.
    I’d choose something cheaper like Zara, so I can buy 2 of them, definitely with a heel but not too high if I wanted them for every day ones, but not pointed toes. Almond toes, are better for me too! Good luck with your search!

    nine west had some really awesome ones - fits like an unbelievable mr. right for its price. i got mine two seasons ago tho, but keep an eye out. highly recommended :)

    I haven’t found the perfect pair yet either, but my list would include a slight platform. They seem to make high heels a bit more comfy! And I will now have to check out Zara! :)

    I’m having the same problem trying to find the perfect comfy heels. At this point in time, I just want a pair of nude wedges that I can walk in without any pain.

    My fail-safe pair of black block heels are from Camper from a few years ago. Sadly I haven’t found any of their heels to my taste since and now definitely wishing I’d bought two pairs!
