It’s been a huge week and I feel like things are finally slowing down just before Christmas which is good news for me. I like these calm before the storm moments, further highlighted over the weekend by watching the fabulously atmospheric director’s cut of Le Grand Bleu, one of the best films I think Luc Besson has ever made – incidentally one of my all-time favourite directors. I thoroughly enjoy movies that take you on a bit of a journey, and this one is seductive in so many ways I don’t know if I can put it in words. Not so much actual seduction but the portrait that it paints of the relationship between man and ocean. If you do decide to watch this go for the director’s cut - almost 2,5 hours long but so beautifully put together. And bonus: some amazing footage of the Mediterranean in the late 80s <3

Finally got a spot of shopping done on the weekend - and then just realised that the holidays are only a week away and that I still have a bit more shopping to do. The city was so crowded that we gave up queuing to pay at some stores.. so no wonder I do most of my shopping online :) This was one of my weekend outfits and definitely one of my personal favourites of late: a panther flocked baroque featherweight tee coupled with some suede shorts from last year. Summer, I love you!
