Sahara Star

The weekend was a flurry of activity: a gig at the Oxford Art Factory on Friday night, apartment hunting in the morning, the Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris exhibition at the National Art Gallery in the afternoon and various errands in the city, cake baking (I was asleep for this bit) and picture taking for our photography assignment.

I had on a pair of leather shorts/boots in morning but changed into something more appropriate for the sudden reappearance of the sun (in case you’re wondering about the rogue gray shorts). It has been raining all week, and finally we had a little window of sunshine in the late afternoon which has thankfully carried on until now.. This waffle knit sweater by Free People is just about the most perfect thing to roll out of bed into.

We had textbook Summer weather on Sunday, but spent most of it indoors at class, and then gathered round at Raymond’s for a dinner that consisted mainly of spicy food and wine - a lovely wind up to a rather exhausting weekend. Hope you had a lovely one!

Free People Sahara Star sweater, Mink Pink Slasher shorts, Soludos Barca espadrilles, ASOS necklace, Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo.

Really nice outfit. Loved your sweater, and the 1st photo is so beautiful. This is exactly how our summer started too. With lots of rain, and low temperatures.

Love the sweater! Just wondering which size did you get? There’s a medium on Shopbop but I’m scared it might be too big :S
ps. I just stumbled onto this blog and didn’t realise it was Sydney until I saw the ‘Merry Christmas from the City of Sydney’ banners in the background!
