Skater Skirt

Flippy skater skirts are not quite my usual thing (if only because I’ve never worn one!) but kind of loving it despite Sydney being relatively windy.. my leather jacket I tied around my waist is keeping me from flashing strangers from behind ;)

If you’re like me, skater skirt virgin, I’ve found that a black version is easy to introduce into any wardrobe. I’ve been working it into mine by simply replacing my usual black skinny jeans with it, a strategy that’s worked really well so far. Bring on Summer! x

I love those sandals but I just don’t enjoy shopping in Sydney’s Zara. Guess I can’t have it both ways

I found these online during the mid year sale. Sydney Zara store scares me a bit :)

Great colors. I’ve been seeing silver shoes everywhere and I’m starting to want a pair :)

Thank you! Silver is a great neutral - I find it pretty much goes with anything so you should consider having a pair.. in flat sandal form it makes the perfect warm-wearther footwear!

Ahaha strategic jacket-tying, I like it. I also employ it. I love how simple your outfit is, though - there’s nothing like a well-fitting tshirt!

Such a cute casual outfit! I never thought about jacket tying to help battle the wind, I will keep that in mind next time! Our hot hot weather has been replaced by cloudy and windy so if I do go for a flippy skirt (that’s what I call skater skirts…haha) then I’d need the jacket trick!

hahah The strange thing when I wear skater skirts or skater dresses, is that’s when the wind decides to make an appearance. And I’m holding my skirt down, to avoid flashing strangers. hehe That’s a nice trick. I’m going to try it.
I think you looked amazing. Really liked the way you wore your skirt.
Skater skirts might be too girly or feminine, but I found that the can compliment my body type so I love wearing them.
